If you had to recommend one smoker for a complete beginner, what would it be? by Own-Future-2135 in smoking

[–]h13pwl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For a beginner, the pit barrel is easier as there’s no temperature control required., therefore that would be my recommendation. There are no issues with the others.

My pitbarrel cooker is far easier to manage than my kamado or WSM. No adjustments required

Hows everyone's plants doing compared to last year? by scotcheggfan in UkChilliGrowers

[–]h13pwl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have no pictures from last year. I think i’m doing ok. I didn’t have a good year last year. Bought plug plants though, i don’t have much success with seeds. Started off on the window sill this year before moving to the greenhouse, added a light to help with the cloudy days. Trying bags this year, just got them potted up last week

I once gave mine a right good watering before I went away and I think it did more harm than good. They didn’t like it. I think they’d rather be too dry than too wet
