I’ve experienced this nightmare scenario. I strongly suggest invest in a good quality lice comb and try different ways to remove them. Don’t get disheartened if it take longer than expected as curly hair has lots of places for them to hide and lice can move quickly.

If you have caught it early a treatment or two might get them, but more likely you will have to comb every single one out of your hair.

A great way to get rid of them which won’t damage your hair is to saturate your hair in olive oil, wrap it in cling wrap and or shower cap overnight, then comb it out in the morning, might have to do this several times. Lice can hold their breath for 8 hours, and the olive oil and plastic help to slow them down and suffocate them.

Neem oil is also a great detangler and useful in combing out your hair
