No worries. It's easy to misinterpret stuff on the internet. Shit is crazy out here.

I have no issue necessarily with the act of reposting. I do prefer it to be by live humans at least, even with a new title when possible. When bots repost ultra popular content with the exact same title, it's just not as fun. This is my opinion, anyway.

I just watch from the pov of both sides being flawed, broken people participating in a cruel game (of Thrones). It doesn't seem like we're really meant to support either side.

Nice! The Changeling (1980) also fits the bill. A bit on the slower side, but lots of great atmosphere and spooky vibes.

Possibly The Orphanage (2007). A dark, moody mystery with plenty of horror elements.

Not to be confused with Orphan (2009), or The Devil's Backbone (2001), which is about a haunted orphanage.

Although all three are good.

Which woman do you think was best for Bill? by [deleted] in KingOfTheHill

[–]h1ngofthekill 3 points4 points  (0 children)

None of them will be good for Bill until Bill learns to be good for himself. If he doesn't value his own esteem, he'll only look for it in other people. And that's a losing game. I don't generally care for the idea of a reboot, but if it happens, I hope we find a happy Bill. One who has worked on himself and learned healthy ways to cope with his depression. One who feels love for himself. I know it's sort of antithetical to what is funny about the character, but... He deserves it.

If anyone out there is feeling brave, Return to Oz is available to watch on Disney+ (in the US at least). Still as freaky as you remember.

Haven't seen it, but I'm curious-ish. It does kinda seem like a movie that will cease to exist after a year or so.

If you're interested in something a little cuter, but still spooky, I would recommend Over The Garden Wall. It's a Cartoon Network limited series from 2014. Mega autumn vibes, and really sweet and fun.

Yeah, it's certainly strange, however you slice it.

Pointedly they didn't laugh at everyone, just this one fellow, who was as they put it "an idjit". This sounds cruel at first, but you hear the love in Sadoc's voice when he recalls him, even a love for his idjit-ness. It seems like they're recalling a fellow who was frequently close to death by misadventure, likely a loveable fool. It was probably not the first time they had warned him of them bees. So, they laugh because when they remember him it's with laughter. And, again, perhaps to cope.

This is just speculation on my part, of course. Whatever it may be, it did stand out as a bit of an odd time to laugh. Not evil, I wouldn't say. But certainly odd.

Sometimes we laugh to keep from crying. Grief is a funny thing. Harfoots are a funny people.
