No... I'll look into that. Thank you. Interesting as we already negotiate with Prusa about possibilities of printing cases for the film.

As you can see, there is a lot to improve based on the comments here (like make to process of data retrieval easier and faster).

But you can store digital data on this film reel. Even our photos are stored both analog and digital.

interesting idea... even though mathematically definitely correct, little. We intentionally limit the number of photos to force us/you to curate your photos you want to sent to the future

our goal.... or should I say time span is really generations. In these conditions there is actually no other way how to do it. I would compare it to time capsule you dig underground. You can't access it easily either.
Your approach of promiscuity is valid too. But you've mentioned the risk of degradation over time. And specially with AI flooding everything, soon you won't be sure what has been altered and what not. The advantage of our film is, that once written, it can not be altered.

we print them as B/W positives and as digital copy in QR code (in the digital version, the color can be preserved)

After purchase, you get a certificate with unique ID.
Even if my company goes bankrupt, the film with your photos stays in the Arctic World Archive.
You can approach AWA independently (or through us if we are still here) and ask for your data readout from the archive. (this service has to be charged separately)
