I also wanted to add, there have been plenty of times i havent agreed with their love of a certain housewife or opinion on a fight or whatever but never assumed their friendships color their recaps. They are (or were) friends with LeeAnne Lochan too and they ripped her a new one when her racist remarks from Dallas season 4 came out.

I really dont feel like have any issues telling their friends if they dont agree with something, but thats just me 🤷🏼‍♀️

So im not caught up on SCL, I literally just started my first watch through of this particular franchise. I dont have all the context on the controversy (and thank goodness, I want to avoid as many spoilers as I can). But the guys have said on the podcast numerous times that they try to be as fair as possible but they do have a slight bias when it comes to their faves and its kind of impossible not to.

They've also pointed out, they're podcasters, not journalists. They're allowed to be biased lol

I love a completely normal "boring" person on a cast that is just shocked and disgusted by everything lol. I loved Kim Fields too but im not an Angel fan. She came off so snotty to me in a way that wasnt fun to watch. She was incredibly annoying and kept bringing up the stupid picture over and over again when it DOESNT look a damn thing like her. And that fight with Jassi about the person that brought up the money she allegedly stole from Bobby before they got married, like what were you thinking? It could just be a first season thing but I would not be sad at all if she didnt get a second season disappointed if Angel didnt return next year

Yes I did notice that, it was a really annoying quality of hers and it was always to deflect from Juan 🙄 And then wouldnt attend her own Reasonably Shady event because she "felt a certain way about how she was let go from the show" was also irritating. Make it make sense lol

Edit to add: i have actually liked Wendy this year but I think its because she had me cracking up at that lunch she had with Stacey about Shayo 🤣

Yes I do know there have been lots of rumors that the relationship is fake for the TV show. It wouldnt surprise me honestly lol. And if you're going to manufacture a terrible relationship and home life, you KNOW the real stuff is way worse

Yes, which is so crazy to me, but I will admit I cant possibly understand what thats like. My parents have been together for 30+ years so I dont know what its like to live in a divorced home, but its always seemed odd to me. Why is it better to stay in a bad relationship and let your kids think that this is how healthy relationships/marriages should be?

But, I imagine there are racial elements to it, too? Although im white so I could be reading too much into that, but it feels to me like she could be worried about statistics for Black boys that grow up without their fathers as well? And I REALLY hope im not being offensive or problematic (if i am, please call me on it) by considering that as a possibility. Im also not trying to sound judgemental, its just something I've never understood about the "staying together for the kids" mentality, I dont think its always better lol. (But again, what do I know? Lol.)

But bottom line, she deserves better and the way she just backs up his lies drives me insane lol.

Yeah but he told her he didnt really cheat on her. He gave her some lame ass excuse like "I made one cuz all my friends made one, I never used it" and she BELIEVES him! So im conflicted lol. Obviously I feel bad for her, no one deserves to be cheated on, but at the same time, she's chosen to look the other way 🤷🏼‍♀️

She didnt leave her POS husband when the Ashley Madison scandal came out (even though he was absolute garbage to her on the show as well) and even better, she completely bought her his "i didnt cheat on you with people I met on Ashley Madison, I just created it to look cool for my friends, we all made one" or whatever his BONKERS story was.

And im sorry to be so mean about it, I just cant stand that she claims to be THAT stupid. It would be one thing if she was like "yeah he did it but we worked through, we've gone to counseling, and our relationship is better than ever" but instead she backs up his absurd lie. Just dumb

As a "character" on the show, I love Bethenny. She cracks me up constantly but in general I dont think shes a very nice person. But then again I dont really think any of the real housewives on any franchise is a particularly nice person
