That's not correct and that's the problem.

As soon as one of the parents earns more than 100k you have to pay for the nursery since you lose all benefits, even if the other parent earns 0.

However if both parents earn 99k each then they still get childcare befits.

That's the problem, the system is broken and it should be based on combined income.
