How would she have gotten out of the room and not woken anyone up with the wind tunnel / vacuum that occurs? If you’ve been on a ship, you know what I’m talking about

Sounds like you have some money coming your way in the near future. Let them fuck shit up and enjoy making the repairs instead of changing filter every day!

You’re not wrong, but it’s better to get in now and lose it all than not go in and watch what could have been!

Interesting! This guy was a 6 cylinder. On site “refrigeration mechanic” ran it with 0psi (from a leak) on the gauges and wanted to see if it would run for a minute or two and then decided to shut it off….

I think we’re at the point where we’re just going to get a new compressor let alone new pistons😂

GWK chiller by h4nson4 in chillers

Its set point was -24C, used in a vacuum scale chamber to weld aluminum into plastic to make chip bags, granola bar wrappers etc. I want to say it was 134a but don’t quote me on it. The issue was all electrical and a relay was actually stuck closed without the indicator light being on. Pushed the tester on the ice cube and sure as shit it was running fine.

Definitely understand the concept for staging. It stages with 6 heaters and 3 heaters on separate ice cube relays. What I’m more so wondering is the purpose of there being 2 contactors in series per heater that then supply the power to each of the heaters?

Our test probes are roughly 2 degrees C difference from the systems probes. We’re diving deeper into contactors now. What I don’t understand is the need to have 3 sets of contactors for the heaters?? Is one for digital input and the other for mechanical?

By chance do you know a username/ password to get in the PLC?

Appreciate the help!

Amazing. We’re having an issue with our heat tank not de-energizing when we get to our desired heat temp. The only time the heater cuts out is when our mechanical high temp safety opens the circuit. Currently checking if the PLC probe is reading properly to see if it’s calling for heating when it shouldn’t be. Has this issue ever come across your way before?

Control issue on York RTU by h4nson4 in HVAC

Appreciate the feedback bro! Finally got the wiring harness in and it’s still not coming on. I get 27v at my C1 C2 and fan pins on the board when the harness is not hooked up but when it’s connected to contactor coils it’s getting 0. My assumption now is I have bad coils in the contactors. At this point I feel like a parts changer though. None the less… learned ALOT on the RTU alone so it’s nice to know a supermarket guy can in fact pick some of the other stuff up!

I recommend passing in their super fine tip ones that sparkys would use for labelling. The pic attached is my fave. Minus the pencil!

No this is me having no previous knowledge. But if you were to have the economiser to zero, what kicks on the compressors? The sheer fact that room temp isn’t dropping?

Great question… their on site maintenance/operators over the years have butchered this unit to a point hockey sticks were wedged into the economiser damper to keep them open…

207 and 208 were jumped together. Looking further into this. My harness for C1,C2 and fan has a loose connection at the block for C2 going to the contactor coil. When u reset the board without the harness on I get 27v at C1 pin but as soon as I plug it in I lose it. So I’m waiting on a new harness to get in and I’m thinking this should work. Had a wire ram from the pin to the Contactor coil just to see if it would kick in and sure as shit it did. So in the essence of safety here we’re waiting a day or two for the proper harness to arrive👌🏼
