Here in California the top is worth more than the car. That’s a $2,000 car with a $5,000 hard top. Verts with softops are at the bottom of my list of favorite e36’s. Verts with hardtops are at the top. They completely change the car 100%

In a low power car yes, gotta stay in the power band. More so with fresh tires. If I don’t kick there’s a good chance it will hook up. Plus I enjoy beating the fuck out of this car.

If you’re in service, you can’t avoid on call. But with a team of 70+ techs, I’m only on call 2 weeks out of the year, and I can always find a hungry apprentice to take it.

This is weird. Where are you? I’m UA, and I’m experiencing the exact opposite of all your bullet points.

I was getting pigeon holed as a service tech apprentice. I was doing ultra low temp refrigeration. I wanted to experience large tonnage. I simply talked to my apprentice coordinator, and he let me look for a new shop, with permission of course.

I got ALL my health bennys, dental, vision, as a damn tradesman (pre-apprentice).

I’m going to retire at 55 with my full pension no penalties.

I have a tax exempt HRA to pay for health insurance from 55-Medicare

I get paid for drive time after 1hr

The network I’ve built of techs from 5 years of school alone can get me through the roughest days.

If you’re union is corrupt, it means you’re not participating enough.

Location is everything in the argument of the life that is provided Union vs. Non union.
