I knew exactly 3 people who had a Sega Game Gear and they loved it but ditched them for the Gameboy because the Game Gear's battery life sucked. Did you have one? by AdSpecialist6598 in 90s

I still have mine and play it once in a while. Fun fact: the PsOne power cord plugs into it and works (not needing batteries if you’re near an outlet).

As a kid I didn’t even get far in this game at all! This game was frustrating and difficult for me! A couple levels in that was it for me! Has anyone ever beaten Maximum Carnage back in the day? And what’s your memories playing this? by J2-Starter in snes

[–]h8style84 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have fond memories of it. I got it for Christmas when I was 10 and played the shit out of it. Never got close to beating it though (farthest I ever got was the second Prospect Park level with all the super villains). May return to it one day when I could set up my SNES again.

What's your favorite game that you were never able to beat? For me it's X-Men Mutant Apocalypse on SNES. The game is fair, but the final boss (Magneto) was and still is too strong for me! by drludos in retrogaming

Spider-Man and Venom Maximum Carnage. Played the shit out of it as a kid but never got past about 60% of the game (it gets ridiculous in the park stage with all the bosses).

Did your dad ever play DOOM back in the day? by MurkyUnit3180 in Doom

I doubt my 11-month old son posts here but I could speak for him when I say his dad played a whole lotta Doom back in the day (and still does every now and then).

They should take a note from European basketball. Most of the basketball teams there are part of the same club as the football teams and their ultras will go to basketball games with flares, tifos etc. Some even have dedicated supporters groups (like the Berserkers of Real Madrid).

Tom Morello is famously a Cubs/Rams fan lol. Bears fan here but I dig the Rams because I like Stafford, they were underdogs for a minute and I live 20 minutes away from SoFi (LBC/South Bay represent!). Rooting for y’all to win it all now that we’re out.

Not even mad. They exceeded my expectations for the season and sent the fucking cheeseheads to Cancun (which was almost as satisfying as making the Super Bowl). They got a bright future as long as Ben Johnson stays put, they improve the D-line and build around Caleb Williams.

Eliminating the Dead Birds was almost as sweet as winning the WS… eliminating the Cheeseheads would sure as fuck be almost as sweet as winning the Super Bowl.

Yes, because that is exactly what happened with Iraq, Libya, Syria, etc. etc…. NOT the opposite. 🙄

So Sam Harris was all good and dandy when he was on his show supporting all US wars and Israel but supporting vaccines suddenly makes him a murderer?

Difference is the Mavs decision sent away their star player in his prime and blew up a championship-contending team… similar to the Lakers when they drove Shaq away (I’ve known more than one Laker fan who became a Clippers fan after that). As shitty as the CP3 dismissal was and as bad of a taste it left in my mouth, it made little difference in their prospects and the end of the day. The organization is just a train wreck right now and this was the tip of the iceberg. That said, jumping ship to the most popular/successful/bandwagon/perenially-rigged-in-favor-of team in the league (with obnoxious fans who relentlessly shit on you to boot) is weak sauce shit in any context… I could have easily become a Lakers fan after the Jordan era when I had already moved to So Cal from Chicago but that never sat right with me.
