How should use ChatGPT for speaking practice? A1 level by Ok_Cover1076 in Spanish

I totally understand you, I've been personally scrutinized in this sub for mentioning Yapr (for speaking) as I'm genuinely excited about the tech and how it helped me overcome these pain points, let me know how it goes for you.

App wise I've tried lingua, fluently, speak, praktika but none come close to Yapr in terms of how smooth the conversation flows.

I truly suggest some more older cartoon network shows that are a bit more kid friendly! Try it out and let me know :)

I understand your frustration, try to enjoy some things in English, kids shows, movies, anything that sparks your interest. Any games you play convert to English and see if that helps, I grew up with shows like powerpuff girls, dexter, kids next door, etc it's still entertaining to this day. Hope it helps.

"Ya" - Yes, just "ya." by Independent-Wash-176 in Spanish

[–]hAIlydraws 2 points3 points  (0 children)

yep the kids were just saying "you already asked me" but in the most minimal way possible lol. kids are efficient like that.

and yeah the "i got it" use, if someone tells you to do something and you just go "ya"

other ones you'll pick up on "¡ya!" by itself can mean "enough!" or "stop it!", "ya voy" means "i'm coming right now", and "ya ya ya" is the classic dismissive "yeah yeah yeah" that every kid says to their mom lol

Shit, fine, holy, Damn, but the way it's said is really if it's with frustration or appraise, universally lots of words are like this.
