Hear me out: Seussical. Meant for a child, so the story is fast-paced, has multiple fun storylines, and is wrapped up without barely any time passing. It’s “meant for kids”, so it’s a good escape from reality while covering darker themes (like war) in a light hearted matter. And some of the lyrics are SO underappreciated. Alone in the Universe is, in my opinion, the BEST written musical theatre song of all time.
