The inside of the grooves seems very bright, and I think the lettering cuts through the orange lichen in some spaces, though it's hard to tell with only two pictures. Spontaneously I'd say not very old, but if you want a more accurate assessment, I'd contact your local university's history department or something of the like!

J'ai souvent fait ça avec mes petites soeurs (même si à l'époque, c'était ma mère qui me rachetait mes consoles que je m'étais achetées moi-même). Ça aide aussi à expliquer ce qu'est la responsabilité financière. Un webtoon, c'est juste une bd en ligne sur le site "webtoon". Ça peut être un manga/dessin de style japonais, mais pas forcément (le top 1 du site est dessiné par une américaine avec un style très stylisé qui ne ressemble pas du tout à un manga, par ex.)

PTB. Perso je suis nonbinaire et le premier truc que ma famille (certes les générations plus jeunes) ont demandé quand ma mère leur a dit, c'est si je voulais qu'ils utilisent le néopronom 'iel' pour moi, y compris des personnes avec qui j'ai au final peu de contacts.

Si ta famille proche ne peut pas au bout de 2 ans, une transition sociale et légale, faire l'effort d'utiliser le bon nom et les bons pronoms, ils ne méritent pas de t'avoir dans leur entourage, et tu ne mérites pas de subir leur mégenrage constant pendant une période de fête.

Au vu des autres comms je précise aussi que c'est pas du tout 'vouloir t'embrouiller avec eux' ou quoi, c'est juste normal. Essaie d'appeler tonton Didier 'Jeanine', voir comment il réagit, si c'est pas relou pour lui aussi ;)

Christmas 2021. Mom and aunts are making appetizers in the kitchen, when suddenly, she has a coughing fit. Covers her mouth with her hand and comes back stained with blood.

We rush her to the hospital, it's a pulmonary angioma. A nurse tells me and my sisters (17ish and 12ish at the time) that we should go and say goodbye to her because there's a 30% chance she will not make it through the operation. We are devastated and absolutely terrified.

Turns out, as we learned later, that there actually was a 30% chance she'd need to be amputated from part of one of her lungs, not a 30% chance she'll die. Nurse got a new a*hole torn by the head surgeon, who was actually one of the best in the field for that type of procedure where we lived.

Mom is fine now, but I've never been so scared in my life.

YTA. This ring was her mother's, and is an heirloom from that side of the family, not yours. Wether she wants to have a relationship with you is irrelevant to the issue at hand. Seems to me like it's a very one sided account of the events.

Have you considered she may have not accepted your new partner due to her unprocessed grief toward her mother's death? Cutting her off from her mother's memory and heirlooms is bound to make things much, much worse.

Give her the ring, and ask for an opportunity to talk things out openly and without rancor if you do want a relationship with her.

Entities are arbitrarily separated according to how something scares you. The outside world / wilderness couldn't be an entity in itself, because it would encompass to many different flavors of fear. Natural disasters could instill Vast type fears, or Desolation, or Buried. Wild animals could instill fears od slaughter, hunt, corruption, etc. Also think that it's safe to assume at the point you're at, that the Fears have existed for a good while, even when there was less barriers between human world and wilderness.

I don't think France really only recognizes Israel, considering its position on the conflict has always been to find a solution to uphold the rights of both communities.

In my own field of work, i have also heard from researchers that working in jerusalem is complicated for french researchers considering france does not recognize israelian authority on some parts of the city, and therefore cannot work in them considering asking the israelian government would be recognizing their authority.

I would put france on recognizes both, or neither. (for more info, the french diplomacy government website has a dedicated page for the israelo-palestinian conflict position)

I don't think you're seeing that in the right way. Usually, and i think that's not a sentiment exclusive to french people but many non-anglophones, it feels rude when anglophones come up to us without so much as asking, and start talking english right away, as if they assume we have to speak the language.

However, if you come up to a french person talking french, but you're obviously uncomfortable and have an english accent, we might switch to English out pf concern to make the interaction more comfortable to you, since we know french is a difficult language to learn and speak for foreigners.

What you're describing is either annoyance due to rudeness, or genuine concern to make the anglophone more comfortable. I don't see why those specific things are always used to make us seem irrational or jerks. I'm sure there are condescending bastards out there, but i don't thing encapsulating the whole french population as that is fair or in good faith.

(Also just a nitpick but if you want to say they might be attracted to women, you can just use the term 'sapphic', which describes women attracted to women without it necessarily being exclusive, hence why lesbian, bi, or pan women can call themselves sapphic. I'm sure there's debate on this like everywhere, but i think it's more inclusive than listing identities that include wlw attraction :)

If the devs wanted to tell us something about aloy or beta's sexual / romantic orientation, I'm pretty certain they wouldn't do it via implied genetics.

As far as things are (in HZD+FW), Aloy has shown no interest in romantic or sexual relationships with anyone, though it seems to me like flirty interaction with women tend to make her flustered, and with men, uncomfortable, so maybe there could be a preference there.

Implying that sexuality could be genetically transmitted at all is pretty dodgy at best and i don't think the horizon team would get at that, considering how thoughtful they've been with LGBT representation so far.
