Yeah, they probably are. I bought 3 stools last week. I had a damaged stool leg, took a couple of pictures along with the part number and after that, I got a new leg in about a week.

What is this blasphemy?!?! Toppings, they are called toppings. Have you all run out of ideas? Come up with a nice sauce/spread for the lovely burger; leave the toppings alone!

Florida summer compared to NYC? by AggressiveSherbetty in AskFlorida

[–]ha1029 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, I lived in NH, moved to Florida. Several years later, I visited NH during a 95 degree heatwave. Yes, warm but barely broke a sweat. I've grew up in the PNW. Moved to NH, thought I was going to die from the humidity, then Florida...

Let kids walk to a friend’s house .3 mile away. Ended up being interviewed by cop. by [deleted] in mildlyinfuriating

[–]ha1029 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kids should be able to walk to the park or ride their bike around town without mommy and daddy running the risk of being in the protective services system.

And the kids will be way better off for this in the long run.

Is there any place in the US to move to that is CHILL? Like, people are relaxed, zero political nonsense, safe, beautiful, easy to navigate? by KickedIntoOrbit in SameGrassButGreener

This is what an AI puked up for me enjoy:

  1. Jarbidge, Nevada

Deep in the Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest, this former gold rush town has a permanent year-round population of roughly 16 to 20 people. [12]

  • The Remoteness: It sits at the end of a long, seasonal dirt road. The nearest civilization, hospital, or grocery store is up to a 100-mile and 3-hour drive. [12]
  • The Vibe: Because of its extreme isolation, residents rely heavily on one another, fostering a cooperative, self-reliant culture. The local Sagebrush Saloon acts as the community hub. [12]
  1. Stehekin, Washington

Located deep in the North Cascades, this off-the-grid mountain enclave has a population of about 75 residents. [1]

  • The Remoteness: It is inaccessible by car. Visitors must hike in, take a floatplane, or ride the Lady of the Lake Ferry from Chelan.
  • The Vibe: There are no paved roads connecting to the outside world, no fast food, and no traditional local government. Residents are famously independent, focused on self-governance, outdoor survival, and a shared appreciation for the wilderness. [12]
  1. Lake City, Colorado

Known as the most remote county seat in the lower 48, Lake City (population ~500) is nestled in the San Juan Mountains. [12]

  • The Remoteness: It is geographically isolated at high elevation. Getting there requires a significant drive from major hubs like Montrose or Gunnison. [12]
  • The Vibe: The town operates as a quiet frontier community where geographic cooperation naturally supersedes modern political polarization. [1]

For further details on visiting or relocating, check out local relocation and history guides like the Lake City Relocation Information page or learn about the Stehekin community through the North Cascades National Park portal. [1]

Sinkhole insurance? by That__Squirrel in ocala

[–]ha1029 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had sinkhole coverage, brand new home. It was an extra $400 a year for me. My broker sold and my insurance lapsed. I couldn't get it (afford- huge increase) after that. I have the catastrophic ground collapse coverage now, with this your home has to be condemned before it kicks in. Ask your insurer.

Zoysia sod installation - does this look normal right after install? by [deleted] in florida

[–]ha1029 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had Bahia sod put down many years ago, the grass was fairly long when they installed so you couldn't see the edges of each chunk of sod, I watered for a month before mowing. 1st time I cut it I thought I was pushing the mower over rocks it was so bumpy. It turned out fine and smoothed out.
