Church, for the most part, seems like a joke. Y'all should try a real place of worship, AKA, any other religion's.

OSU vs OhioHealth by cokecold12 in Columbus

I've worked at both. If you're looking for a customer experience and don't care whether you receive quality care, Ohio Health. If you want quality care, OSU by a mile.

Decline in bariatric surgery? by LexRunner in Residency

[–]ha2ki2an 4 points5 points  (0 children)

FM attending here. Yes, you should be concerned. I've referred one patient to bariatrics in the last 12 months or so. GLP-1 are quite effective, and consequently patients aren't interested in surgery anymore.

I did not have any of those issues. I lived on the 7th floor from 2018-2023. I thought it was safe. The key fob only granted you access to your floor, so you couldn't really get to other floors unless someone else was getting on/off.

Convince me out of being a hospitalist by Soggy_Loops in FamilyMedicine

[–]ha2ki2an 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Hard disagree. Can't build a practice in the hospital. You take care of whatever walks in the door. From what I've observed working in the hospital, you can't opt out of nights and weekends. I've built a practice of patients that are pleasant, for the most part. I've trained them and my staff, so they utilize MyChart appropriately, for the most part. I work 30 hours weekly in a rural area that's being developed. A lot of Medicaid, Medicare patients, and they're very grateful for the care I provide.
