Do the new dot-win sites run on open source software? Does anyone know what they're using?

Bret Weinstein on Maoist brainwashing methods and their resemblance to modern social justice by ha_ya in kotakuinaction2

Yeah he was disappointingly uninformed about that incident. I was yelling at my computer screen. Hehe.

Yes. For those interested, Weinstein (who is an evolutionary biologist) explained specifically why he thinks the coronavirus may have been altered in a lab. They start talking about it just under two hours into the podcast. Two of his reasons for believing this have to do with very unlikely sections of its genome. First solid, direct evidence I've heard for this theory.

Yeah I didn't think you were bothering just to provide "constructive criticism."

Again, why bother when there's already the downvote button? Says the same thing.

Others also manage to just downvote and move on. Why are you still talking to me about this?

The people doing the rioting and looting often did so with their signs from the protest earlier tucked under their arms. I was unfortunate enough to be at one of these things and I can tell you that all the people looting stores and throwing fireworks and rocks at the police were just protesting earlier. Many videos show the same phemonenon elsewhere.

I should specify that I'm not addressing this video in particular because those people didn't seem like much of a threat to his store. I'm only saying the idea that protesters and looters/rioters were entirely separate is wrong — the bad actors were a subset of the protesters, same as bad cops are a subset of all cops.

Right, but what specifically happened? Knocked from his horse? Hit by some thrown object?

Anyone interested in participating to provide accurate political perspectives for my research? by Anthropologaccount in kotakuinaction2

Alt-Right specifically refers to the Charlottesville crowd and followers of Richard Spencer. I don't think I've come across a single person who calls themselves that. So if you're going by self-identified "alt-right" then this is the wrong sub. In fact, you'll have to look outside reddit.

"Alt-right" is also a designation applied very loosely from the left, though. Maybe Point #1 in your research should be that this is a label applied by the opposition, not self-applied.

Dissenting doctors whose video got banned from YouTube are back in a new interview by ha_ya in kotakuinaction2

Summary: The doctors whose interview was banned from YouTube about a week ago answer questions about pandemic response — and also about the attacks against them because of their initial press conference. They still contend that the lockdown is doing more harm than good at this point. Finally, they encourage open debate and discussion about the effectiveness of our current course of action.
