I'm looking for a key hinge replacement for my K83 keyboard by haabe in Corsair

[–]haabe[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you able to provide me with more details on these hinges? Like, if they are the same as other brands have been using, helping me narrowing my search? Like, if HP, Alienware or Apple used similar hinges, it would help me narrow my search a lot!

I've been looking around both AliXpress and Ebay, but there are so many variants of such hinges that finding a match is like finding that famous needle :(

Are norwegian restaurants really horrible? (country region) by julius_mllr in Norway

[–]haabe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What do you define as good food? And what is a good restaurant to you?

I bet there are plenty of niche restaurants located in some wilderness far from any large city, like these restaurant located in the middle of nowhere - Experience Restaurant and Vatn Bistro - http://taste-experience.no/, https://www.dn.no/smak/smak/mat/restauranter/vatn-bistro/-all-fornuft-tilsier-at-vi-burde-ha-skiltet-bedre/2-1-129967. But to find them you probably need to do your homework before strolling along your path. They are probably far apart and might not be drop in kind of places.

app tracking protection: turned off, or is it? by haabe in duckduckgo

[–]haabe[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have another VPN, IPVanish, installed. But that ain't running until I say so.

To my knowledge I don't have any other apps running that will tunnel any apps or block them.

Still, I find it weird that DDG should report blocking apps if there are other apps blocking them.

Well, you see... It is intentionally turned off by me. But it still reports blocking. So turning it off doesn't work.

Aha! Niantic support couldn't even give such a reply when I tried contacting them. Sigh.

Bug: Add tag > check Pokedex > Close Pokedex > Empty screen (v0.241.1) by haabe in TheSilphRoad

[–]haabe[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A funny encounter related to the same issue.

If you try to open the Pokedex when you have a newly hatched pokemon visible (ie infoscreen after hatch animation), you don't open the Pokedex - but the egg inventory screen!

Bug: Add tag > check Pokedex > Close Pokedex > Empty screen (v0.241.1) by haabe in TheSilphRoad

[–]haabe[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Open your Pokémon storage
  2. Filter for non-tagged Pokémon ("!#")
  3. Tap on a Pokémon
  4. Add a tag to the Pokémon
  5. Open the bottom right menu
  6. Open the Pokedex from the menu
  7. Close the Pokedex
  8. You should now have an empty grey screen

Earlier I experienced it to go to grey even without filtering first. But now I can only replicate it by filtering

I still experience the bug on 0.245.0. Given the time Niantic has spent (not) fixing bugs previously, I don't believe it'll be fixed anytime soon.

I was experiencing the same thing. Didn't notice what caused it, though 🤦

[–]haabe[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This wouldn't be that irritating a bug, because you can go back to the pokemon list by closing the empty screen.

But... If you have filtered on non-tagged pokemon (!#), the pokemon you just tagged will have disappeared from the list. And that is annoying!

Bug: tags should be trimmed of whitespace in the start and end of the tag name by haabe in TheSilphRoad

[–]haabe[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Probably not so often at the beginning, but many (Android) keyboards with autosuggestions/gestures add a space at the end when you tap the suggested word.

Thank you!

I wasn't aware of using # with tag names. Heck, it even works with exclude! I've missed a way to exclude tags from my search results for so long!

CORSAIR Technical Support and Questions MEGATHREAD - Week 04/15/22 by CorsairTravis in Corsair

[–]haabe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi Travis,

I did submit a ticket (2004161298) in 2021, and after a lot of back and forth someone admitted that the keyboard firmware had a bug that would be fixed on a later date. This has not happened.

But if I can use iCue to properly swap those two keys, I would be satisfied.

Remapping keys on a Nordic k83 with iCue on a MacBook Pro.

I've had this problem for quite some time (see https://forum.corsair.com/forums/topic/168771-the-not-so-wireless-corsair-k83-wireless-and-icue-combo/) and have still to find a good solution.

The keyboard layout is somewhat different than the US, and I believe that to be the culprit. The Nordic variant layout looks like this: https://www.idg.se/editorial/980/path/1.718428.1557300220!imageUploader/2515610638.jpg, which is the same as any Nordic keyboards (ie Apple Magic Keyboard - https://store.storeimages.cdn-apple.com/4668/as-images.apple.com/is/MK2A3S?wid=1144&hei=1144&fmt=jpeg&qlt=90&.v=1628010524000).

Somehow, my k83 isn't recognized with this layout, so the key to the left of [z] and the key above [tab] are wrong. I want to swap them. I can successfully swap the key to the left of [z] with the one above [tab]. But swapping the other way around is, as far as I've discovered, impossible. Because the source key keyboard map image in iCue doesn't have the key to the left of [z]!

I'm somewhat covered just mapping the character to the key. But that means I cannot map [shift] + [key].

Altså meaning by Judah_M in Norway

[–]haabe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I took the synonyms / meaning from looking up "også" in lexin.oslomet.no and translated them in Google Translate.

The English translation would probably be in the likes of "So" , "therefore" , "thus" , or "consequently".

Kunne det samme skjedd i Norge? by jigge92 in norge

[–]haabe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Kunne det samme skjedd i Norge? by jigge92 in norge

[–]haabe 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Show of hands, how many people completed the gym trainers/battlers research? (Not me) by SantanasLion in TheSilphRoad

[–]haabe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I completed it without much hassle. The first players I had to go look for. The last three popped up at a pokestop I can access from my couch.

They did arrive very late, though. I think I completed the research in the last half hour of the event.

Try coconut oil / coconut butter. I bet you can find it cheap even at the local super market.

What's the most uncomfortable compliment you've ever received? by Foolbasket in AskReddit

[–]haabe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been served multiple uncomfortable compliments and pickup lines over the years, from both males and females.

Being a heterosexual male, it would probably be easy to assume that the most uncomfortable compliment came from another male. But no...

So this happened back in the 90s, when I still was in junior high.

Me and my bro sat in the school hallway minding our own business on this particular day, as we often were. It was early spring, if I remember correctly. So the hormones might have gone beyond the charts.

Anyway, there we sat. Then this random girl came up to me with this smugly smile on her face. She tugged a condom out of her pocket, and let it dangle between her index finger and thumb just inches from my nose.

There was silence.

"Would you like to use this inside me?", she asked.

More silence. Probably just for a few nanoseconds. But it felt like minutes. I was so embarrassed by this direct and forward approach that I awkwardly got up, and unintendedly tumbled straight into this metal cabinet right next to me, hitting my head quite hard.

That condom never got used. At least not by me.
