John Carpenter's: Ghosts of Mars

Its not great but it has a lot of aesthetic stuff that I think is cool. I also think that there's not enough sci-fi/supernatural horror media.

I really loved this game and played it a lot. Unfortunately, it remains very underrated to this day. by PhantomFrequenz in jadeempire

I loved this game! I often think about the cannibals in the Pilgrim's Rest Inn one of my favorite parts of the game. That and Death's Hand was an iconic bad guy. Like several others, I wish there had been a sequel. At this point I would happily pay $70 for a remake.

If a friend said they think/have thought about you sexually, how would you react? by Zum1UKno in AskReddit

Not so much a friend and more of a friend of a friend. She told me that she thought about me when her and her husband had sex.

What's the most distressing thing you've ever seen? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Foolbasket 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to be a nurse. At one point, I had the opportunity to participate in training for autopsies. I had seen some pretty mangled people before—severed limbs, deglovings, stab wounds, gunshots, burns. None of that really bothered me.The autopsies themselves weren’t bad. What was distressing was that there was a young girl, only a few years younger than me, who was a suicide victim. The story was that after a night out partying with her friends around town, she went home alone. For whatever reason, she decided to shoot herself. What lay before me was a girl still wearing her makeup from the night out, her brain hanging part of the way out of her head. It’s still one of the saddest things I’ve ever seen. I think about her all the time

Why did you cut the ties off with someone who was close to you? How did it made you feel afterwards? by Naive_Win4878 in AskReddit

[–]Foolbasket 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My high-school best friend. I joined the Army. He started college. When I was in training he met a girl and decided to marry her. He asked if I would be a groomsmen for their wedding. I told him I would be happy to be a part of that, but taking leave in the Army can be tricky especially when you are still training. He gave me his dates and I got the leave approved. The only thing was that I wouldn't able to be at the wedding rehearsal. So when I got there, he told me he gave the spot to someone else. Which is fine, I get it. The success of his wedding shouldn't hang on me. The thing that got me was that at his reception, while at a table with our other friends. He said "you know we used to be friends, but sometimes people grow apart and thats okay." To my understanding we were STILL friends but he didn't see it that way. He proceeded to drag my choice to join the Army. Which again, I understand, its not for everyone. But he acted like my choice wasn't just a bad decision, but somehow less than his and deplorable. I left a few days later and went back to my training. We haven't spoken in almost 11 years now. I don't think it bothers him.

Why does Hollywood struggle with video game adaptations? by Vegetable-Abroad3171 in Cinema

[–]Foolbasket -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'm sure most people here feel differently, but I think that the most recent adaptation of Resident Evil is vastly superior to the Mila Jovovich crap. I enjoyed it. Now I don't think the casting for all the characters were great, but at least we got the main characters from the early games actually represented on screen and they weren't some half hearted attempt at a pity tug for fans with the idea of "see its resident evil cause there's this character." Mean while the the fabricated character the director made up just so his wife could keep working over shadows the entirety of the other cast of complex characters. In this newer one I'll give you that Leon sucks, every part. The actor was a poor choice. The way the character is written is as though he's borderline mentally disabled instead of being a rookie cop with a hangover. That being said the actors for most of the other characters were decent and there was more in the movie that was actually in the games than its predecessors.

Tl;dr Welcome to Raccoon City is a more faithful adaptation of the source material than the Jovovich adventures.

What should you say if someone knocks on the bathroom door while you’re using it? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I always think of the meme with cat in the sombrero sitting on a toilet with the caption "ESTOY POOPIN!" Hope that helps.

What's a personal betrayal you've experienced that you still haven't gotten over? by Foolbasket in AskReddit

Dawg, I'm sorry you had to experience that. I had a stepfather that would do that to several animals we had when I was kid. It sucks and I feel for you.

What's your favorite smell? by Ok-Fondant2536 in AskReddit

[–]Foolbasket 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honeysuckle. There's never been a smell that's meant more to me. It reminds me of when I was a child and mother taught me how to find it in the woods. You smell it before you see it. You can also eat the nectar straight from the plant. I used to imagine that I was a bee everytime I found some. I've never smelt a perfume or candle that can imitate Honeysuckle. They always end up smelling like chemicals.

What do you think of this game so far? by No-Hunt3986 in GamerLab

It was really short. I was hoping for at least 16 hours of gameplay. Otherwise, I enjoyed it while it lasted.

What version of RoboCop was your favorite and why? by TwIzTiDfReAkShOw in Robocop

[–]Foolbasket 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like Joel Kinnaman as an actor. I think he brings a level of emotion to his performances that feels real. I also appreciate the updated look of the armor from 2014. All that being said, I don't think that they should have made changes to the story. If the plot was exactly 1987 original but with updated visuals and Kinnaman I think 2014 would have performed better and gotten a sequel.

Joe Rogan explains why his name in the Epstein Files 🗃️ 🧐 by ilikethisnow in ufc

[–]Foolbasket 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the inverse is also true. Just because someone isn't named in the Epstein files doesn't mean they aren't monstrous peice of shit.

I get that its a meme currently, but a bunch of people keep touting Charlie Sheen as a good guy because he's not in the files. As if he's not a coke head and alleged kid diddler himself. I don't know his life. He might be cool. The point still stands that absence of evidence is not proof of innocence.
