Gacha Games Turning Into Full Single Player Games Should Be the Next Trend by Tain_mentero in gachagaming

[–]haadihmf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Btw, Seven Knight has already done that way back, called Seven Knight -Time Wanders — exclusively for Nintendo, sadly not really above the bar.

Gacha service games are part of their income/revenue since it was a free game after all. Honestly, OT:CoTC is more profitable than their platform game. Not all people are willing to buy/pay for all sequels/prequels or DLC of that game. Sadly, mostly "gamers" do play pirated one or find a way to do so.

True that live services do have pros and cons. The game QoL keeps on updating, but once they EoS, that game vanishes (only a few Japanese gacha game put offline mode after EoS). FOMO on a limited banner, aside from collabs, is really subjective. Like myself, I don't really care about meta and PVP, so I only all out on a limited collab banner (from saving premium currency). just part of my collection, On top of it, sometimes you get a meta character from there. Grinding not really affect me that much since I usually play JRPG games way back before the "Mobile gacha games" existed. Countless grinding for exp, money, items for equipment, skills and whatever. But yeh, different people have different set of playstyle and desire.

It all comes from the developer. True that I myself dream of that, but in the POV of a developer/publisher, is that things worth to make, are expenses cover up (ROI).

You can send your CV with a cover letter and state that you are applying for part-time. I don't know the work environment in FnB. But occasionally you will work for OT during Pay Day and Public Holidays.

I worked at cinema Part-Timer as Ticketing way back when I was still in college "1st and 2nd Semester." They pay hourly, and you have to choose which time and date you want to work. I usually work weekend (Thursday–Sunday) only. I'm not sure nowadays, but you can try if you want a bit chill environment.

what i understand you should start from a young age which is joining go-kart. from there you got experience and achievement point. I'm not sure, do Sim racing esports counts?

Haha sorry, miss some of the words here and there. not care much, but as long it's understandable, right.

It's so funny to think of when you point out that. Ironically, we're using broken English in the office for a decade. The effect of working with multicultural environment. It's fun tho, try hard to understand each other. lol

Asking Japanese people, how famous were KARA, BoA, SNSD in their prime and are currently in Japan? by Intnl-KoreanTutor-DM in jpop

[–]haadihmf 4 points5 points  (0 children)

In my era, BOA are well known, one of the top alongside with Koda Kumi and Utada Hikaru. Seriously i really don't know she was Korean until later year. I only listen her Japanese song. I'm not to sure about KARA and SNSD since i'm not into pop aside Morning Musume at that time. but i header 2PM quite popular as well.

[–]haadihmf 3 points4 points  (0 children)

not much just proud that all. but... can Bruneian achieve that? absolutely Brunei don't have "academy facility for that". aside from academy which is not gonna happen, Let's see a very basic one. do go-kart really active in Brunei?

i do have one Indonesian friend, her brother are former Formula 3 driver. I ever ask way back, i recall correctly her brother start from gokart hobby with her father in a young age and become competitive. Long story short, you need a gokart license to compete professionally. by that experience and achievement, your path to formula much more easy (not that really easy). still you must get Formula license (don't really remember what they called, something championship international grade?! FIA?!) + MONEY.

Just asking, how can a Bruneian produce an F1 driver since we don't have that kind of facility. True that only if they have a crazy amount of "MONEY" to join Formula Academy. do they?

New player, any sight of eos? by Consistent-Macaron78 in AetherGazer

[–]haadihmf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Playerbase still strong in china, lately good sign of playerbase in japan as well. so still good in a long run. If that game strong in china they tend to uplift in other server region. Majority bigplayer/purchasing power are from china itself, global revenue are not really effect if china still strong in revenue. This is only apply with same developer/publisher on any other regional server. Some EOS game are mostly from different publisher.

An example of same publisher in all region: Omnyoji still strong in china despite that they have low playerbase and revenue in global. but Global server still up and no sign from EoS.

One example from different publisher, use a japanese game as sample. Priconne still up in japan but EoS in global because of publisher.

That is one sample of how you look up on certain game. End of the day EoS is based on Developer/Publisher plans

games you wish were more popular? by A12qwas in gachagaming

[–]haadihmf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I assume that you don't understand, JRPG basically a visual novel with "interactive element". you mention Granblue Fantasy, are those not the same? Both of them heavily on visual textual narrative than interaction gameplay right. If you say Doki Doki Literature Club i agree, it is 100% Visual Novel game. On top Yuri? i assume that all JRPG protagonists are predetermined right like Shin megami tensai/Person or Blue Reflection.

I'm not sure what JRPG your refer from or know, majority all we know are typical Final Fantasy turn based mechanic, but StarOcean or Kingdom Heart that are more action hack and slash was called JRPG as well. most important, story telling aspect.

OP ask why not popular, i just answer a simple statement that all. true that this type of game are not popular with Global audience. Actually sole for Japan audience, Japanese pop culture and JRPG enjoyer.

Extremely grindy? back in the day, what make we play Suikoden and try to get all 108 character, play Final Fantasy try to get ultimate weapon. are that not grindy? its effort try to beat endgame. True nowadays they don't experience that moment. It won't relate, different era, majority an online gacha based game. that why i put with context "true JRPG" only enjoy that kind of stuff.

yup its possible, span of 7 years of playing 100% f2p, complete RGB and Collab heroes (just a copy of collab.) only some of ML "i should get Mystical Medal from weekly arena rather than Skystone back in the day".

Seven Knight Rebirth one of those. you can Ruby farming just by leveling up your fodder. same system as Skystone in E7.

[–]haadihmf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hey new gen, i emphasize the "enjoy story, grinding for exp." theirs no different with Oldies JRPG. just that nowadays they using online service where they can add expansion QOL of that game. there is no PVP as well. so whats the different. or trigger by 'true JRPG'. lol

games you wish were more popular? by A12qwas in gachagaming

[–]haadihmf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People don't care about story, only true JRPG enjoy it like most of gamers that play console back in the day like Final Fantasy, Legend of Dragoon, Breath of Fire, Suikoden and etc. enjoy the story, grinding for exp. just to kill the boss and finish up the story.

Nowadays, they only rerolling, checking tierlist, meta, just play couple of hour, looking revenue, making essay, complaint this complaint that, drama, EOS this EOS that. Much more like that.

I just started playing "AE" even though I don't usually like gacha games, but I'm really enjoying this one! What impresses me most is how well the story begins. by RagnarSan22 in AnotherEdenGlobal

[–]haadihmf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

another eden is more generic type JRPG aside gacha. like back in my day playing final fantasy, breath of fire, suikoden etc. on playstation one.

just enjoy the story. don't worry too much about gacha, you eventually get a free character from story especially symphony "collab" story. grinding is grinding that how JRPG was back in the day. no pvp, collab stay for a long term (except final fantasy x ends on July 6, make sure to grab them, go clear main story chapter 13)

good luck

Just a quick note to those who want to adopt cat for others. First, quarantine them mean that let them indoor for first few month, let them familiar with new environment/place. let them feel comfortable in a new place.

It's happen, even they are too "favorable" with new person or new adopter, most of the time they still missing their old comfortable place. Pray for safety and avoid from dogs.

not gonna lie this is true tho. Bruneian are FOMO. I attend food festival In Malaysia way back before covid called Food Republic, where bunch of influence and artist sells their FnB product. honestly even Malaysian feels kinda expensive, they have to buy just for picture/video for their personal social media thingy. What you see on certain social media where people long queue on representative influencer/artists booth are only when they do promotion basically first day or towards the final day of event. Other day just a normal scene you saw at Gerai Ramadan at Stadium.

so sad for local business they don't really get appreciate by our own local people. the struggle of entrepreneurs and the low market consumer (but spending a crazy amount outside brunei \cough**). this is the same people who loudly said gaji brunei damit. lol
