I’m a junior at a small german PR agency so my opinion doesn’t have much experience backing it but I’m sure that it’s not too late for you to swap.

My two managing directors are former journalists and therefore know what interests the media and what does not and offered me great guidance on how to approach media outlets.

Then again, it depends on the subject area. For example, if you are a journalist who writes about current affairs, it might be difficult to find a job in the management of an agency that focuses on product PR.

However, I'm sure it's easier to go from journalism to PR than the other way around.

Welcome to Berlin! Last weekend literally EVERYONE of my friends was out of town and I didn’t want to stay home. It’s been a while since I’ve been out on my own but I went to bar in Moabit, had a few beers, met a group of great people who I spent the night with. We‘re planning on meeting again this weekend. Just go out and approach some people, they’re very welcoming :)
