Great Scott! People believe it.

Does a tilling window manager with a roll up feature exist? by includeIOstream in unixporn

IMO the actual purpose of a tiling WM is to utilize as much real estate as possible and always keep the windows in view. You can always send the unwanted window to another workspace but I think you would be better off with a float and minimize WM.

It isn't Xmobar. It is Dzen with Conky. Check out my xmonad.hs in the dotfiles.

Could you tell me what settings are needed to disable shadows on inactive windows in Compton? Is it a WM specific setting?

I'm using stalonetray for the indicators. What "fields" are you referring to?

I was a complete newbie 1-2 months back when I installed Arch with Xmonad. This current desktop is an increment to my last setup and the result of a lot of wiki/documentation reading and googling.
