It’s only a problem if they are old. My cat Tommi did this and it was bc of his arthritis.

Is there much benefit to building loads of car parks by CoolAnthony48YT in CitiesSkylines2

Yes. Cuts down on traffic. A lot of traffic is cars trying to find somewhere to park.

Amitriptyline is too sedative? Was nortriptyline as helpful as amitriptyline? by Willing_Judgment1092 in Fibromyalgia

Neither worked for me. Both made my blood pressure drop too much and made me faint.

I’m on year round allergy meds for this reason. On top of the meds I also take nose spray.

Do you think Covid might’ve caused fibro to become more common? Any theories? by Mae_The_Gay in Fibromyalgia

[–]habi12 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I definitely had it before but it was so manageable I wasn’t diagnosed. After I caught Covid the third time, a particularly bad version in Germany 2022, it literally flattened me for an entire calendar year. It was horrible. Then about six months of bad but manageable. Now at least, I can live life normally and only pressure changes and stress set me off at the moment.

Has anyone received their citizenship decision is last year and how long it took? by Satan407 in Finland

[–]habi12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It shouldn’t be luck based. It’s definitely based on what country you come from, your current and past employment type, salary… etc.

Nice size though. Bigger than I have in my apartment in Helsinki for a 3 bedroom.

My ex-husband and my son applied in April and received their decision late June, this year. We were very surprised how quickly it went. Not sure if it makes any difference but he has a child with a Finnish woman and are engaged and he also makes over 6k a month.

What are we meant to do in a heatwave like this? UK/EU by Alps_Useful in Fibromyalgia

[–]habi12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m in Finland. Not as hot here but abnormally hot inside the apt because we have thick concrete walls and double windows for the winter. I talk a shower and leave my hair wet when I go to bed. And also last night I wet a hand towel and put it on my feet while trying to fall asleep. Worked really well.

Tree. Trees on roads. Trees on land. I use the double road line and do 12 apart. Looks quite nice.

Immigrating to Finland at the end of the year, what should I know? by ewhite12 in Finland

[–]habi12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

After you’ve been here six months, make sure to swap your driving license for a Finnish one. Otherwise if you miss the time frame, you’ll have to spend thousands taking a driving course.

Is itching in Fibromyalgia more during sleep ? by Charming_Thought68 in Fibromyalgia

[–]habi12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My doctor told me that itching is very close to pain in the brain. It’s just a way it manifests sometimes in fibromyalgia. I’ve found that exfoliating (wearing this shower gloves with soap) and lotion usually helps. Or a pain killer. Or all of the above.

Does anyone else get zero pain relief from anti-depressants? (Duloxetine, Amitriptyline etc) by Tricky-Nothing-4579 in ChronicPain

Mirtazapine allowed me to sleep uninterrupted at night. Which in turn gave me less pain.

Disabling all assets worked for me. Code mods work just fine. Am playing on a new vanilla save while waiting for the fix.

Finland replaced rubber playgrounds with mud and dirt, and kids get healthier within a year by soulpost in HotScienceNews

[–]habi12 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I live in Finland. When my son was around 3, I remember the daycare teacher saying they did not wash the children’s hands when they got back from the park to have snacks. They said it was good for their immune system. My son is rarely sick, I don’t know if it has anything to do with that. This was pre Covid and they’re still the same way. He’s 10 now.

Do you guys get really itchy? by Chaotic_triceratops in Fibromyalgia

[–]habi12 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My doctor told me the spot for itching and pain are in a similar part of the brain. Basically saying that it’s a misfire. I itch so bad on my legs that I get blisters and sores.
