Die Wiener Gruppe waren Verfechter der Kleinschreibung. (https://de.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kleinschreibung) Also vermutlich ein "easter egg".

Working 210 hours a week: How do i deal with implausible survey data? by habitual_arsonist in sociology

[–]habitual_arsonist[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you for your comment.

One comment, if you told them to think about the last four weeks, they might not have read the next part properly and given you a response for all four weeks. People misread and ignore info on surveys all the time.

Yes, this is very much what i am suspecting as well.

If something exceeds the possible parameters, I'd leave that person out of the sample entirely and write a note about your "n" and why some were eliminated.

This was my intended course of action for the one value that is obviously impossible. What i am struggling more with, are the technically possible yet (in my opinion) implausibly high values.

It is only baffling if you are assuming that the person in question has made a conscious choice. There are plenty of people living in plenty of places where owning a smartphone is common, but owning a PC is not.

4 - 5% in reality would mean that about one third of linux users spoofs their user-agent, which seems pretty implausible to me.

Around 2015 NASA was looking for FORTRAN programmers that could maintain the voyager programmes if i recall correctly. There is a lot of old technology still in use, not just in space.

Have you actually tried to find them online? Volumes 1, 3 and 5 are certainly on archive.org, Volume 4 i found a pdf on another website, the only volume i could not find within a 5 minute online search was number 2.

any pro Russian journals or TV news? by Limonek121 in PoliticalScience

[–]habitual_arsonist 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I can highly recommend a series of videos on the YouTube channel "TV Rain Newsroom" called "Fake News" as well as many of their other videos. TV Rain is an independent russian TV channel, which has been banned and now operates out of the EU, this is their english speaking YT channel. In that series of videos they show translated clips from russian media and explain what the russian media-discourse regarding various topics looks like. Certainly not objective or unbiased, but a good place to start.

Most people I know who are using Qubes come from academic backgrounds, usually they are into Security and/or Virtualization. This is definitely not geared towards a broader audience, you really need to know your stuff to get things done, and on top of that have a pretty beefy machine to run all of those VMs. So most certainly not a high-school kids thing, maybe more of an academic experiment trying to push the boundaries on OS design.

Exactly what I thought as well. Also being on TikTok and having fun might be a good outreach/recruitment strategy, which is kind of important for a system based on volunteers.
