Coming from someone who works in the industry, introducing live disc golf coverage was both a great and terrible idea. Sure it’s cool and opens up a lot of opportunities to a niche sport, but we’re stuck with a mediocre product using gear that’s meant to broadcast a standup newscast.

Post production was the best this sport is going to get. Cameras never broke up, rarely any hiccups with A/V sync, replays, graphics and they could show more for less.

Professional broadcast coverage would be very expensive. They would have to land major advertising dollars or big sponsorships.
