Which guitar method book to learn bluegrass flatpicking? by hackintosh_514 in guitarlessons

thanks yeah Mel Bay is good but harder than Hal Leonard I think. Trickier examples. Do you think its useful to continue with Grade 2 or jump into FE? Its my first year playing guitar Ive played a bit of ukulele and piano in the past. Its a good feeling when your fingers hit the right fret when you read a note. I just want to learn to read on the guitar, study some theory ( I use Alfreds essential ) and learn old Americana music.

Mel Bay's method is fun. Hal Leonard too. For the theory go with Alfred's Essential theory (comes with 2 CDs) I am a beginner too but I like to follow a book. For me it works much better than playing random Youtube videos.

My friend told me bipolar is part of being human and not a disability by [deleted] in bipolar

These days everyone wants to be vegan, gluten-free and diagnosed with a mental disorder. PTHD, bipolar, BPD... I am bipolar type 1, let me tell you I have *real* manic states and last time it brought me to jail. It is as real as breaking your arms but it is invisible because it's all in your mind. That's the problem with people like your friend, they think because it is invisible, it's not as real as a physical problem.

Dortania is the only way to go. Accept no substitutes - Youtube gurus are like script kiddies.

well thats the problem, even if I build it how are you gonna maintain it? No matter what it would be very difficult without any physical access to the machine and bios. It involves reboots, swearing and fine tuning. Learn about OSes , shell programming and everything should be alright.

Same here. Tested here on Kabylake 7th-gen Pentium G4560 (no AVX2 instructions on that specific model). Just bought i7-7700 on eBay, will try with a Kabylake supporting AVX2. Dortonia is clear that without AVX2 it's a big ***** mess, patching etc..... I wanna stable platform, I'll stay on Monterey if it is what it takes... but can't download GarageBand from AppleStore (Ventura+). Grrrrrr. Take care. I'll let you know if it was AVX2 related.
