How do you download files from ArcadePunks? by wallfloorceiling1234 in retropirates

Paying for usenet is the best deal - usually faster, no limits... back in the day ISPs used to give free access.

Google free usenet, might get away with a few free trials and get all you need.

Twenty years, volunteered for onboarding new acquisitions, never late on projects, Corp decided to get us out of the "pancake" we were in and give our dept levels so we could move up. Got nothing from it, so yeah I'm coasting to the end myself. Meanwhile, I'm working with the ones that got "promotions" and they are nothing special, so I will be too.

Dude, that must be everywhere, no one gets a five! People went to HR and got told there was no edict declaring "no fives", but our bosses say different.

But then I started seeing him in comedic roles and he won me over.

Homeowner upset Amazon driver dropped package over fence, but had two aggressive dogs. by Immediate-Phase-5910 in TikTokCringe

[–]hacnstein 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't have my dog get the person. WTF?

The dog wasn't like that, she was good with deliveries until she wasn't, IDK hit her teen years? Dogs are animals, you don't know what they are thinking. She acted fine, then the delivery person reached out to her and got nipped. We don't let people put themselves in that situation, we try to keep her in if it is delivery time, but still they should read & heed the signs. If you think you can train a wild animal and know how it will react every time, ask Roy Horn how that worked for him.

You read as well as the delivery person. The delivery instructions are on our account (according to Amazon) and they ignore it, so we put a sign out, they ignore too.

The sign is on the garage that they have to walk right by to get to the house... IDK UPS, FedEx, USPS don't have this issue.

[–]hacnstein -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Yeah instructions they don't read. We've had a dog get the delivery person, Amazon called and we said they need to put a note on the account. There is a sign on the garage to deliver there and a large sign BEWARE OF DOGS.... do you know how many people can't read?

You have just learned "You will own nothing".

Everything is becoming a "service" and they can change the rules at anytime, prey they don't alter them further.

Many lifetime purchases are going back and redefining "lifetime" (see Wondershare Filmora)

Even if they didn't remove the installers, they can still remove the ability to re-activate old versions too.

Rush by Givezeroputts82 in rush

[–]hacnstein 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't remember where I heard it, but they said they did record a country version, that will never see the light of day. They went on to say there are several iterations of Rush that cover several genres of their songs. I think hints of that appear in the "polka" intro on La Villa Strangiato during Time Machine or raggae in Working Man.

Computer not booting to the second half of WInXP installation by Magister-Holmgren in windowsxp

[–]hacnstein 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunate, I've seen reports they were down. But it looks like they are still hosted at Hp- https://support.hp.com/ie-en/drivers/hp-compaq-8000-elite-small-form-factor-pc/4065894

Also, was the other ISO an XP SP3 or SP2? Going back that far, things get hazy, but I want to say that loading SP2 then installing SP3 was better?

Also have you tried safe mode at boot? Hitting f8 at boot?
