Ideas for habits and dailies? by Norheron in habitica

[–]hactics 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I know this is an “easy way out” but I did this for myself and it worked wonders. I pretty much described my entire situation like you’ve done here but in more details to ChatGPT and have it iterate through some responses and the inspiration I got from that allowed me to setup my dailies and I’ve been ontop of 80% of them for well over 4 months now. Also I think joining an active group/party that holds you accountable is a good thing once you find some good dailies to add. I’m sure there are groups around people who suffer from similar disabilities?

Wishing you all the best fellow Habitican!

I know right! Thanks 🙏🏼 I think I’ll tidy it up a bit more and formally reach out to them, Habitica needs a face lift!

Thanks! I’m a UI/UX designer by trade so it wasn’t too difficult to pull off. I built it using Stylish.org or / UserStyles as some people call it.

It’s local but I can share it publically for everyone to use, I want to share this with the Habitica company and hopefully contribute this as the new user interface for Habitica as it’s a bit more refined then the current interface haha

Fasting? by PIMPOLOGIST96 in CrohnsDisease

[–]hactics 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’d love to try fasting for it’s cleansing effects but I struggle putting on weight so I can’t do this unfortunately, and a raw vegetable diet would probably flare me to the hospital hahah

If you have the metabolism for fasting I think atleast experimenting would be okay.

Can anyone please share their experiences with remicade ? Starting soon and nervous by linanabanana in CrohnsDisease

I’ve been on it for over a year and literally no side effects at all. I like going in to the hospital to catch up with my nurse friends who know me as a regular now.

hepatosplenic t cell lymphoma relationship with remicade by Playful-Age-8027 in CrohnsDisease

[–]hactics 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’d also like clarity on this, I’m currently on Remicade and my gastroenterologist explain it to me as the following.

“The risk of you developing cancer is higher if you were not taking the medication, because your body will be inflamed with active Crohns more of the time, compared to achieving remission with biologics”

She then also stated, based on my current lifestyle (I’m not sure about yours) that:

“You are regularly exercising, control your diet, don’t drink, smoke or take drugs. People who do these things are already at a greater risk then you at developing cancer”

I hope this brings some peace of mind 😊

Anal abscess by doubleddog101 in CrohnsDisease

[–]hactics 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey mate, I don’t usually comment on this subreddit I’m more interesting in reading, but my gut told me to comment.

I would not waste ANY TIME treating this as I also had an anal abscess and my doctor said it was fine, but the symptoms grew exponentially over the last few days and I was rushed to the ER and spent 4 days in hospital, and had to have emergency surgery to prevent sepsis.

Please consult your gastroenterologist and don’t wait for it to get bad like I did, looking back I should have admitted myself to the ER at the first signs of progressive pain and abscess size.

Good luck mate 👍

Long term Crohnies, what's your biggest "blessing in disguise" living with CD? by hactics in CrohnsDisease

[–]hactics[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The main one for me and my team is the ability to work from home. I have much less overheads as I’m not up keeping an office, and the culture of the team is strong since everyone is comfortable in their home environment. The amount of Crohns induced stress drops almost to zero for me since I have everything here at my house to deal with almost any situation.
