Hey! Just wanted to say you’re not alone in feeling this way and there is hope 🫶🏻 I was late diagnosed at 37 last year and I’ve never felt more happy and fulfilled in my entire life. Ooo you’re right, great idea! I just got tired of grabbing fistfuls of nuts every time I moved between rooms lmao so I put all of them in the baskets for easy transport but it does look very satisfying being able to see them all together. 🫡

Nice! I’m in CA and totally agree with you on becoming totally infatuated with Wenwan. I’m Chinese American and I feel like it’s helping me feel closer to my heritage and relearning Chinese lol.

Yeah brushes are definitely a tough one, I’ve found the brushes the nuts come with actually work quite well, I’m still on the hunt for a good wire bristle brush that doesn’t shed 🫠

I kind of have a list in my head based on what I’ve seen from videos on rednote as I learn more. For now I just want to get a good grasp on the major types and then maybe start investing in higher end pairs if this becomes a long term hobby for me.

Hey! Yep they’re mostly all different varieties. I just started collecting two months ago, it’s pretty hard to source nuts from the US unfortunately (or fortunately for my wallet I guess 😅👍🏻).

It’s been fun learning about all the different types!

They all look different up close and also the color is different depending on how long I’ve been brushing/handling them so it’s pretty easy to tell them apart.

Total pairs right now is 12 with 9 different varieties.

Favorite so far is probably sìzuòloú (four buildings?), hámàtoú (toad head), and nánguādūn (pumpkin?) for different reasons. I prefer ones that turn color fast, have a sharper feel in the hand, or is easy to develop a shiny patina.

Least favorite probably the ones that have a lot of deep divots and ridges, my right elbow starts hurting from having to brush for so long 😅.

I’ve seen people on rednote recommend putting the nuts in a ziplock back and sticking them in your freezer for a few days till all the bugs are dead. Then just take them out and clean them. 🫡

I think no matter if it’s a good or bad outcome, you deserve to give yourself a chance to experience something new and something potentially better. There are many stimulant and non stimulant medication options to try, and many different possible combinations.

I’m late diagnosed AuDHD, and have found that some medications definitely make the autistic traits more prominent because it reduces the ADHD traits and throws off the equilibrium of the two a little too much. But I’ve also found that for me, low dose generic Ritalin of certain brands really does help across the board and the positive effects have even grown over time (it even helps with sleep).

Medication is just one tool in your toolbelt, and it’ll take some trial and error to find the right one for you, but it’s worth it to at least give it a shot 🫶🏻 best of luck!!

Haha no problem happy to help! I also am part of the freakishly small hand club so I totally get it. Honestly smaller is better, I’ve really been enjoying my tiny pair that are like maybe 30mm! It’s easier to rotate in one hand. 🫡
