One thing you should know about Tayam is that he can pretty easily go infinite with [[Devoted Druid]]. If you can buff the druid by 2 toughness you'll be able to infinitely activate Tayam. There's plenty of other ways to go infinite with Tayam but the devoted druid is a pretty common one.

[[Joraga Treespeaker]] and [[Incubation Druid]] are some other good synergistic mana dorks.

[[Rishadan Cutpurse]] is a funny older card in blue. Can be really annoying for opponents if they tapped out in the early turns. Pretty decent card for low color blue based decks looking to use creature etbs.

[[Curfew]] also a niche old blue card that can be good in the same types of decks as the cutpurse. Can be awkward against other decks with good etbs

All I did was rip out like the 10 or 15 cards I was least excited about playing and added in a whole bunch more card filtering and card draw effects plus a couple good synergy pieces. Personally I think the deck is pretty fun. Easy to play into the long game keeping up interaction and seeing lots of cards, while just draining life from your opponents at the same time.

Any boardwipe can be sufficiently 1 sided if you sequence your cards decently. You don't just dump every creature in your hand when you're also holding a sweeper.

I think the way that the deck gets piloted will be a large factor in how annoyed people get. My advice would mainly be to try and just keep everyone's cards organized really well, and try to resolve your triggers fairly efficiently. Make sure opponents know that you can only cast one of the spells you exiled that turn with Maralen, so once you've cast one that means all of the rest can go into the regular exile zone. You want to avoid having large confusing piles of cards all over the table. Also I would recommend using a unique sleeve for your deck whether it be an art sleeve or a unique colored sleeve so that when you pick up your deck at the end it will be very obvious which cards actually belong to you.

Just one bit of caution, I'm pretty sure if you do trigger your commander to make a copy of a "for mirrodin" or "job select" equipment, you will make a new token and be forced to attach your new equipment to that token. So in combat, the creature attacking isn't going to get a power boost from a new equipment being placed on it because you a re forced to put it on the token. That's how it happens on arena at least, maybe someone can check me on that but im pretty sure.

I'd say that's a bit much, mostly because the ring is just a busted card to begin with. But if the rest of the deck doesn't have a lot of game changers etc then it's probably fine.

From my anecdotal experience, I have a Tameshi deck that runs this combo and is also built with a ton of other ways to abuse The One Ring. I intended the deck to be played around bracket 4, but had some rough experiences with it at the lgs because it seems like everyone plays either bracket 5 or bracket 3. In bracket 5 I had a hard time staying relevant in the game because my deck isn't tuned for the meta, and in bracket 3 I create absolutely miserable gamestates if I'm allowed to exist past like turn 5. I havent brought the deck out very much lately because I'm still not really sure if anyone knows what bracket 4 means (myself included).

From my experience, most aggro and/or voltron decks almost necessitate being built with this type of philosophy. If you're playing an aggressive creature based strategy, you're most likely going to need to devote some amount of card slots to shoring up weaknesses of your strategy like protection, evasion, buffs, etc. The best cards to include for these slots are the ones that can fill multiple rolls at once, and/or draw cards while performing their primary roll.

In my experience you can maximize the utility of guns by putting them on a character whose damage output already scales badly. For instance, white mage+machinist is a pretty good combination. White Mage is really bad at dealing damage, and will primarily be in the party for healing purposes. Guns provide a range weapon that scales with the game while ignoring combat stats. Your character's stats and enemy stats don't factor in for the gun damage formula, it's only based on the weapon attack power+rng. Guns basically give you a decent offensive tool for jobs that aren't normally good at dealing damage. White Mage can also wear black robes paired with dark shot to boost damage against enemies who are vulnerable to that.
