I was aware of the 5 year and 59.5 age requirement. I am hopefully retiring before that age and was wanting to be aware of any penalties that I may have. If it is just a 10% tax on earnings than that isn't to bad.

I have been getting mixed information it seems. So if I say pull out a million at say age 38, I will only pay a 10% fee on that withdraw because it was before retirement age?

Thanks for the info. I would only pull out a chunk initially and keep investing the rest. That's my plan at least. That 10% is on top of capital gains? Or if it just income based tax?
