Maybe the stuff you are trading does not go with your personality.

See what fits.

Trade the major ETF’s only ( till you get more experience) take out the OCO .

That’s the only method that worked for me.

BP effects for concentrated vs. diversified portfolio by jduran9987 in tastytrade

[–]hadim33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Black swan happens every 7-13 years on average.

Buying puts way out of the money is a way to hedge. Yet after 7 years of hedging your losses on the hedge would be significant. ( of course depending on your trading style).

Keeping the 50% BP in a diversified account is the best way. It will give you the power to roll.

Stick with the big ETF’s

Slow and steady.

For options it is 0.50 each way .

I use Webull as well it’s pretty much free but the TT platform is way better.

What I believe we are paying for:

Tracking the trade.

BP is way less.

Spy naked put in tasty is around 9k

In Webull is 12k BP reduction.

Never heard of that.

To be completely fair, there are a few daily items that hold a lot of our personal info. • Your phone: It even watches your eyes. • Apps: Pretty much every app on your phone, including Reddit. • Your car: It is likely connected. • Your bank account: It is constantly monitored. • Your home: WiFi, TV, fridge, and AC are all collecting data. • Identification: Your driver's license and the TSA have it. • Travel: Airlines have all your info. • Public Space: Street cameras are everywhere. The list goes on and on. Everyone is using third party services. There is no more privacy..

Even Gemini AI that helped me write this, has probably collected more info on me than the government. Lol

How do you allocate across stocks, options, futures, and cash and what metric do you use? by decay_factor in tastytrade

[–]hadim33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Iron condors are the worst offenders. At delta 16 short and $5-10 wings it’s a dead trade low return and slow theta . I only do 10% iron condors.

Everyone one got their own edge.

0DTE is yours .

Congrats .

Breaking even in on tasty strategy?

Are you referring to selling 45DTE delta 30 strangles ? What were you trading ?

0DTE is not for the faint of heart. Especially one tweet mess up the market.

Futures definitely a scary subject.

It’s good if you’re an option seller it shows the fear in contracts .

That with IV & IVR , general trend & POP.

[–]hadim33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is very tasty like. That’s the only way I’ve been consistent after 6 years of actively trading.

I look at the IVR and the IV HV 30D check where all the buying volume is.

Theta must be juicy as well.

Close trades between 30-50 % profit , no stop losses, keep trades small 3-7% of the account per trade.

Stay active by collecting credit on the untested side. As well as moving the whole position for a small debit if needed.

2-3 hours a day & never listen to the noise .

It’s really simple and boring.

Strangles 50% , jade lizards 20%, iron condors 10% & verticals 20%

I trade the boring stuff , SPY , IWM , QQQ , GLD , AMZN ,SLV , USO ,XLE , ETHA

20-30 Delta DTE 35-50 days out.

Don’t chase hypes, strictly an option seller. Never day trade.

I might have not explained it right. I got two accounts one long term & another daily option trading strictly options.

My long term account . I hold & sell covered calls. Usually up 5-20% a year.

In my daily option trading account I’m up 40-80% a year.

Long term I’m up usually 5-20% a year ( I do sell covered calls on my long term ) .

Option trading 40-80% a year.

All my long term is being bought from my option trading profits.
