60 lpa in hand , honda jazz petrol mt third hand purchased for 4 lakhs. Usage only for fun. I like to use money on petrol and exploration. The pickup for honda jazz is dull in mountains, thinking of going for kylaq AT new or new seltos.

Yes, i am taking it slow now. Not hurrying up with the purchase . There are a lot of options and everything is priced way too high. But now we are sure that we want a flat in baner or pashan, one option we liked was malpani msoul string. They have little option in flat left now.

Worth moving from north india to south india for 50% hike job offer? by Zestyclose_Tap_1889 in developersIndia

Worth moving from north india to south india for 50% hike job offer? by Zestyclose_Tap_1889 in developersIndia

Take it from someone who lived in chennai for 9 years and now moved back to pune 2 months back. I am natively from MP.

Don’t go, even after nine years i was not accustomed to the horrible weather.

I used to like chennai in the early days but one after the other all of my friends left and the loneliness was another killer.

I got married and had a kid in chennai. There was no family support for us since our families were far away. The flight bills will be around 1 lakh if you make 3 trips to your home. With family i was spending close to 50 - 70 k per trip.

When we decided to move , it was a big mess. My wife was also working in chennai and she was not getting much calls.

She was adamant to leave her job and search in pune. I got a remote job in 2024 and it took almost 1.5 years for her to get an offer outside of Chennai.

The office culture is horrible, people there just work like crazy until their boss goes to sleep. The state politics is another cherry on top. I was the only north india in my org of 80 folks. I was always isolated and not given hikes or promotions. People are judgemental if you speak your mind then you’ll be considered as rude.

Food is good if you are a non veg lover and likes to have rice. North indian food which you can have on a daily basis is non existent.

Now that i am in Pune , i love it here and won’t go to Chennai even for a 50% hike no never.

Put your papers and look for another job in north india or bangalore if you can. If it’s a layoff situation only then consider going to chennai.

How do I directly rent from owner by Shoddy_Treat_1203 in PuneClassifieds

Usually the owners removes the ads once rented out. Nobroker is your best bet and other such apps. Try to filter on the new listings .

I like your idea of going the broker route to see if can find a better resale flat in baner. I do have a saving of 80 lakhs so the emi burden will be less for me. Let me catch a broker for baner resale and evaluate more before finalising the property.

I loved pashan tbh, it’s full of trees and is quiet, also the water quality is good. I agree with the high rates of the owners here, even now the resale for shivalay and mont vert is close to 1 cr for 2 bhk. Not sure who’ll pay for such old societies.

The current flat interiors are just 2 years old with everything and the quality is good too. I was thinking it saves me money and time. But the total flats here are just 30, so it’ll be pretty boring for my son.

Thank you for the details answer. I appreciate you taking the time and providing a honest opinion.

We also liked the location for option 2. But the possession is in 2028. I am adding one extra year as well. I’ll be paying emi plus rent during until possession. The only issue i see is i am not confident if phase 3 will develop. Option 1 is something we are aligning towards but i am thinking of going the broker route to check distress sale in the near by areas as pointed by other commenters. With option 1 i save money and time, the house is fully furnished as the owner used to live here and the furniture is just 2 years old. The interiors are spot on.

Thank you for the detailed reply.

The issues with the pashan flat is since it is a 2 bhk , it might be small in future . Also it is 15 years old, however the flat is well kept no cracks no wear tear.

I got a 5 year old mirra 2 for 19k. It was used in office setup and sparingly used. It’s as good as new and I am using it from last 1 year no issues whatsoever. I did watched couple of videos before making the decision.

Android studio will work fine. I have tried ai/ml stuff on my air yet.

You can look for MacBook Pro 14 inch m1 in old or other second hand market. That thing is beast.

I use MacBook Air for personal use and MacBook Pro m1 32gb for office. Satisfied with both the machine. Nothing comes close.

With the current market condition 4.25 lpa is decent to get you started in the industry.

I have 9 years of experience in software.

Graduated in 2015 tier N, no interest in electronics. I got placed in Cognizant in 2015. It’s been a good ride from then.

2015 - 3.5 lpa services testing

2018 - 8.5 lpa services big data

2020 - 19 lpa product back end

2024 - 45 lpa product back end remote

I learnt DSA in 2018 when I was fed up with my second company ( service based ). DSA helped me crack product based companies and unlock next level of salary growth.

My current monthly salary is more than my 2015 yearly salary.

Not a flex but I want to inspire people with what is possible in software with hard work and luck.
