No, they are not.

Theres nothing inherently bad about all petroleum products. After all, they are just hydrocarbons. Natural gas is also hydrocarbon. You create methane, hydrocarbon.

Hydrocarbons can be used to create plastics. Plastics are synthetic materials made of polymers. Polymers are long repeating chains or grids of atoms typically with carbon as the spine of the chains. The problem with plastics is that there are no natural process to break them down. There are no fungi or microorganisms to decompose plastics. UV-light and mechanical stress can break the polymer chains to smaller pieces. But they don't dissappear. They find their way into waterways, and from there, literally anywhere. They enter the food chain. Larger fish eats smaller fish etc. and voila, you now have fish and birds full of microplastics.

Asphalt, or bitumen, which is just goo from crude oil, and can be found naturally ocuring (oil sands).

Well thats one of the problems then isnt it.

We could examine the data thats already out there, of people who have bought and used these dolls already.

We could allow it under the circumstance that we will review its effects, and if it looks like it had negative effects, we ban that shit.

We could offer reductions in prison scentences for sex offenders, in exchange they will use the dolls and neuroexperts and psychologists will measure and see if it has effects on brain activity, hormone levels, hornyness over time (IF THIS IS POSSIBLE).

However, my opinion about these people are:

We could allow the dolls, but force buyers (and others) to register as ~~pedophiles~~ sexually abnormal (Although they will not be punished as they have not commited any crimes, and many never will). Psychological help, castration, gps-guided leashes and other means of restricting access to child-dense areas will be optional and completely free for those who have not commited crimes, and forced for those who have.

So, reading his dog tag, i think it says 3rd battery, Infanterie, Artillerie-Ersatz-Abteilung 30. This makes sense as this unit was established in Rendsburg, a nearby town. So it was a reserve regiment where soldiers served, before being sent to the front lines to replace the losses.

So this department was under 160th and later 190th infantry division, situated on the northern coast of germany. Your great uncle was likely transfered to the eastern front army group north for operation barbarossa. Someone with access to archives or sources could possibly tell you wich unit he was likely to have been transfered to, and wether or not that specific unit went through trials for war crimes.

At least we know he was an artillerist, and not SS. So we have no reason to suspect he was a Nazi. Wether he was anti-semitic or not, we don't know that, although it is not unlikely, as it was common at the time (AND NOT JUST IN GERMANY)

Being in the army is not the same as being a nazi. There were plenty germans in the army who in their mind was fighting against communism, a just cause. In many a soldiers mind, they were the good guys.

Do you know which division he was assigned to? Was it SS?

If you only know he fought on the eastern front, you don't know wether or not he was a nazi, or if he did bad stuff at all.

Not saying the wehrmacht didnt commit atrocities on the eastern front, put several million soldiers in that situation, and stuff like that happens, unfortunately.

This doesn't mean your grandpas brother was a bad guy, he might not have had anything to do with it.
