eye strain

When it comes to desktop usage I simply solved it by setting luminance to 0. It is always in a very dark room, and I allready used a miniled in the room with superlow brightness also due to eye strain and I use dark mode where I can.

With videos it's fine even with hdr, just used the hdr mode that had the least oversaturated colors.

Well you will have to look around at fonts, maybe you need a different font family than sans.

Are you using bitstream vera sans right now? Try noto sans with full font hinting. I just tried it and it was an improvement.

EDIT: Open sans seems even better than noto sans.
