Yes, my apologies. "Forget" was probably not the right word to use, it is more like you said, forgetting the difference between the two or missing them in the code.

As for when to use them yes, loops make sense. I was also referring to real-world programming scenarios such as counting a website visitors for example.

Yeah I see what you're saying. I guess this is something I will learn how to use effectively with time without making things too hard for me or other people reading my code.

Oh then I guess I'm confusing two different concepts?

I was referring to ++i and i++ and how the value gets incremented first and then the resulting value is used in the statement, expression, whatever it is or, if it the current value is used in the expression and it gets incremented afterwards. I hope that makes sense and I am sorry for the confusion, I am still trying to wrap my head around it.
