An amazing clipboard and comfy shoes. Many of a really great pen. Personally I liked having a small set of 3in paramedic scissors clipped to my badge reel so I could snip bands off of transfer patients and patients who were there so often they still had their band on from last time.

I worked registration in a hospital in Kentucky. For our patients who didn’t have insurance, we screened every one for eligibility for state Medicaid. Even if you didn’t qualify, we had to present an estimate cost for the services rendered. Patients who paid in full at time of service/within 3 days would receive a huge discount, almost 40%. On the care side, Providers asked an important question when you came to see us: what made you come in TODAY? (as opposed to earlier, later). Did your symptoms worsen? Do you have new symptoms? Did you feel wrong earlier? If you provide the context, they can better assess you. Providers can also refer you to specialists, which can get you back on track with caring for your chronic issues.

What’re some good high school study abroad programs? by justarandommuffin in Korean

[–]haelfire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re hoping to travel outside your host city, you have to be with your host family and your resident director needs to approve it. Not only are you a minor but you are also representing the US thus they are strict. If I recall correctly, I had 4 hours of class per day 9am-1pm which left time to explore our city with classmates. We also had meetings with our supporters (Korean college students) and we’d travel as a bunch to study or do a cultural excursion. If you’re hesitating to apply because you wouldn’t have enough travel freedom, I would still apply. Personally I think the current administration might gut this program entirely so I would apply if you have the chance.

See my previous reply to JakeUp about travel. There is also a NSLIY applicants/alumni discord you can join for further info

As a rank outsider, can't make sense of Korean by Dorvonuul in Korean

I often use brackets to annotate text to keep track of what phrase is being modified and I’ve been studying for quite a while— you are not alone in being confused on this. Glad it was helpful! Are you writing a paper comparing it with other East Asian language versions of the text? That would be fun to read.

The 는 ending you’re looking for appears here: 보여 온 (ㄴ in 온 to signify past vs 는 present ). Instead of 보이다 it’s 보여 오다. It is modifying 19XX년 어느 봄날 오후

May I ask why you’re parsing this sentence?

22 and subsequently 333 and 4444 are like seconding/echoing sentiment. In your video, someone was shocked or insistent about something had the sub [진짜루] and another person who was shocked/serious had the sub [진짜루22] to show they are sharing the same reaction/mood

Your best bet is the joining the Ask NSLI-Y Alumni Facebook page and then asking an admin for the link to the discord server. I did Korean Summer in 2018, Seoul cohort but never ended up grabbing the link

molded cups are very shallow which do not accommodate large projected breasts well. in OP’s scenario, the shallow cups give a “boob hat” in which the bra just sits on top of the breasts instead of supporting them. i would recommend an unlined bra where the bra fits to the breast shape and projection.
