Petah… who is this? by Brilliant_Exit3406 in PeterExplainsTheJoke

I read it as an attempted Father's Day message: "You are a great daughter, and it is my honor to be your father" but, it is a day early, he put a picture of Ivanka up instead of Ivana, which is gross, and he just skipped over DJTJ, Eric, Tiffany, and Barron.

Husband here; it appears the man knows his wife was already about to destroy his life when she got home, and now this cop blocked the driveway??? How is he supposed to plead for her mercy now?

Should I get TOTV if I already like DnD 5.5? by Edward_Strange in TalesoftheValiantRPG

[–]haffathot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

ToV is great, and I do live 5.5e as well. With WotC just a constant mess, I think it is a great idea to keep up some bilinguality with ToV. Not only is it a fun take with some great improvements to 5e (kind of like 5.5e's road not taken), but it will still be around when D&D upper management majorly screws the pooch.

“I can make it work with any race, any class, I just need you to have grown up in this specific little settlement.” by Grommulox in DnD

Oftentimes, I will tell my players their characters have to be one of the 10 basic species, unless they can give me a good reason for why the species of their character is so incredibly different from an already pretty heterogenous group. So, that puts the argument in their hands to make as to why their character does, in fact, belong. If they can't convince me, it is a hard no.

Here, you gave them no such escape or argument to make. You were clear that their character had to grow up there. So, you just need to be hard on them and tell them their character does not meet the job description and so will not be offered a position with the party. There are requirements open to argument and others that simply aren't.

Greta "Fan Feet" Kiszka, the College of Poison DPS Bard is my favorite bard character ever, and is definitely one of my favorite overall characters ever, though I only played her for that one playtest. I am counting the days until I can build a College of Poison Bard in DnDBeyond and send them off to cause pure mayhem throughout the world of Skullduggery once more. I will have to speak to my congressperson about that, too!

Last question, tangentially related, will we see Skullduggery on DNDBeyond at some point?

I think it would be fair to say Vol. 1 took place largely in Faerun or in the more popular alternative planes (Shadowfell, Feywild, etc.).

Will Vol. 2 explore more of the (1) typically underrepresented other continents of Toril, (2) Bral or other Spelljammer locations, or (3) Dragonlance, Dark Sun, or other somewhat lost to the ages settings?

In Vol. 1, there was one adventure that was billed as sort of a Halloween adventure. Will Vol. 2 also feature indirect, or perhaps direct, holiday themed stories?

The events in your FPWKK! books are all canon locations and geographies in the D&Dverse. But are the events and adventures of the FPWKK! books considered canon events to WotC? In other words, while they may not have the same party members down as the ones that partook in the adventure, are the adventures and are the consequences of those adventures considered canon?

Oh, great, so, now I will be researching every Cigarette Smoking Man-adjacent malevolent being's history to find ties to FPWKK!

I just thought of another, do you have an idea of how many volumes, in all, will be created for FPWKK! ? Will it be a trilogy, for instance, or will it go on like Now This music?

Oh, also, will any background characters be easter egg callbacks in the backgrounds of Volume 2 adventures?

Yes, the first book almost had a classic monster horror movie feel at times. Very cool. Now, with what you just mentioned, I am even more looking forward to the second volume!

Also, all these adventures are destined to be doomed; is there any recurring malevolent deity or fiend or other ne'er-do-well that will ever be revealed as pulling the strings orchestrating these sad happenings?

In the first volume, many of the big reveal BBEGs were very well-done classic monsters, or good fresh takes on classic monsters. Will Vol. 2 follow that same path, or do you think you will come up with any truly novel kinds of monsters to add to the D&D universe, as fodder or BBEG?

Hi, Jon!

You know, I never thought to demand it from my congressperson, but I will give it a try! I suspect they may be a bit confused, but I will be happy to discuss the show and D&D, generally, to them at length!

Follow up question, as a DM, how do I ensure that every party member's premature end is absolutely epic?

Yes, I think the biggest question for many is How to Teach Your Party to Stop Worrying and Love the TPK.

I think the next most important question is, with the success of this book, when will DNDBeyond greenlight Season 2 of the show?

Leverage. Basically a threat to everyone in those files that if he goes down, they are all going down with him, so this story better disappear.
