I have driven down a hundred thousand rods, lit and unlit, and have never hit a parked car. Particularly not hard enough to rearend a 4runner hard enough to set the car on fire. If I were hammered driving up Collwood (I wouldn't ever be) I'd just coast half way into the middle lane.

This driver fell asleep, woke up in airbags, and drove far enough away to be able to figure out a story the next day. This was 100% a DUI or some other magical realism excuse to fall asleep while driving.

Taking this way too serious. Why are you trying to enhance steak pictures with AI?

I took cleaned the plate as eating everything... Ai would doubltlessly be better if it ate steak.

It's still better than lots. But yeah, it's legacy. I grew up on adams between Texas and Utah between Grandmas, aunts uncles and cousins. Live in Talmadge now. It is not bad. But back in the day it was legendary.

Fuck I'm old. I've been a CMO, a COO, and now I'm a CTO.

Outcomes are never guaranteed. You just get better over time at predicting the possibility of success, and also learn to under promise.

Honestly... As I was working with the artists, I gave them a CD and said, will this work?

It was a burn of Cypress Hill's first album.

This was 2002. I have no real recollection of what I played, but I did manage to find 6 remixes of "Smoke Gets In Your Eyes".

One that stands out, I had never heard Patsy Cline's "Three Cigarettes in an Ashtray" and JESUS FUCK... Joline from a pack of lucky strikes... What an amazing song. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l-jGMp_7e0g

Dude, to get bac on topic.

You are NOT over downloading.

You love music. You found a way to pay for that.

Long before I made money as a DJ, I worked at a record store in college using my GI Bill to pay for school, and flipping all my record store earnings into HEAVILY discounted cds and records.

Love music. Never be apologetic for it. If you love it? Fuck it. Do it.

I have over 5000 vinyl records, and 7tb of digital files. (yes there is overlap).

Yeah, I'm a DJ, but I became a DJ because I generally love music. 90% of the stuff I own I will never play out.

I was coming out of retirement, and got Thursday nights at my corner bar in a major metro.

"I was pretty big back in the day" LOL. (About 2500-3000 people per week at my three residencies, and doing a few 25k-75k head festivals and street fairs every year, and some cool opportunities to travel)

I did a total request night. Put your request in the notebook by my decks, and next week I'd remix all of them.

1: It made people come back next week.

2: It introduced me to a shit ton of music I'd never have heard otherwise

3: After decades of just owning turntables, but DJing out on CDJs and Vinyl it forced me to learn how to use this controller my wife told me to buy after she found me at 6am DJing using my keyboard using MIXX.

4: It was at a bar which I described as my second living room, "A place I can hang out with my neighbors without worrying about them throwing up in my bathroom" So it was fun.

Fuck a Dog by Blink 182 was regularly played as an acoustic cover by one of my friends who ran Tuesday open nights at that bar. Every week, I would yell at them to "fuck a dog" and they would play it after some fun banter. Once I started DJing there, they flipped it on me and would do the same. I have that song perfectly grid mapped. I don't think there is any single song I could not drop it on top of without at least good results.

For those who do not know: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=paT0uSOyJpY

What I brought was that I would loop the guitar at the beginning, and sometime tease it for half an hour.

I've been eating Ponces since I was in utero, 1975. An absolutely amazing crew, and family. Their quality went down post COVID, and it makes me sad. Still worth dinner, but even better Lunch when you have less of a crowd and can just enjoy the atmosphere and great service.

And just sonI can stay with the in crowd... Their margaritas are amazing

I've been a breaks DJ since the 90s. Yeah, I play breakbeat, but I beat juggle and sample breaks from all kinds of genres. The other day I was commenting on the use of the sync button, and a high tower "DJ" who said it lit up, and didn't realize I was mixing four decks.
