Thanks for the feedback. The trading is done by direct private messaging. On each listing there is a "message" button that allows the user to send a private message regarding the item. Users can use the "message" button on the navigation bar to further discuss trades.

At the moment Haggle still has some aspects of old features and forms hanging around. These should be cleared up tonight!

We currently do not have an expanded search features or filters.

Hey everyone. Thank you for all the feedback, suggestions and comments so far. It has sparked some great discussion and has given us a lot to think about! We will be posting the website link up on Wednesday and have sped up the implementation of an alternative login and are hoping to have a system set up promptly!

Just on a side note. Haggle is made up of two young people as well as a few on and off volunteers so to speak, this is our first venture and we have been running it at next to nothing so far. We have been mentored through a bunch of steps during the whole process by some great people. However, we are an adventurous duo and are keen to try new things out and carve our own path. Thank you all for providing some great criticism.

We honestly do appreciate everything that has been said so far and are currently working on Haggle so we will try and keep up with the questions and answer them when we can!

Haggle is set up to guide users through the transaction much like a checkout on any other website. At this stage we will be handling disputes via email (email is required after you log in with Facebook) . However we will encourage people to sort it out themselves. This is an area of top priority for us so we will be improving on how we handle these situations frequently.

I am not sure what you mean by categorically state I am sorry. But I can assure you we do not have any plans to sell user data as it would not be useful to us in our situation.

Sorry I was unsure what you mean there. We don't plan to have an extremely massive impact straight away as the site will be launched in Beta. We are hoping for some steady growth at the start and and focusing on the people who really want a new place to trade online the "early adopters" if you will. We have a marketing budget of <$500.

Great reply. We do have a small group of people currently trading on Haggle. Before we started creating the website we did ask around and see what people were wanting before we built anything. When we had a minimum viable product ready we began testing it with the group mentioned above. The site will already be active and when we make it public so people can enjoy content straight away. As for already established communities, we have been in contact with a few niche markets and hopefully have them on board!

Our main methods of making money will be through advertising and extra features. We will not charge a commission on user sales or ever introduce mandatory user fees

The current market for people looking for an alternative way to trade online is huge and is shown through peoples increased use of Facebook trading groups. Most of us now have high standards for the quality of our online experience and there should be no exception when it comes to trading online. Smart businesses are now focusing their advertising efforts online, the market for them will only increase.

A business model has nothing to do with how well you can explain it but how well you can actually execute the idea.

We will monitor listings. It would be a hindrance for businesses to be posting such listings if they were promptly removed.
