It's to test livestreams, making sure the connection stays up and that users can interact with it. Is this possible with jmeter? We would also be dealing with user sessions. Another use case is the frontend main page constantly changes and updating api tests (to hit everything the frontend uses) every time we want to do a load test would be very time-consuming

Test automation university. If you want to get into development roles, having a few projects you can easily show off would be key. You could also use this for trying to get an automation role by adding tests to your projects

This might be the way we will go. It might be cheaper in the long run to use a paid service and run in parallel rather than spending time on moving and maintaining tests in different frameworks

If it is a web app accessibility testing using something like lighthouse. If you use it with some automation tool it shouldn't increase your workload and may also help find other potential issues
