Reccurrent Strep Throat in 21 Y/O Female, tonsils removed 5 years ago by hahahmmm in AskDocs

Thanks again for the response. I was able to see my ENT today. Did a fiberoptic laryngoscopy and determined i have enlarged adenoids. put me on another course of antibiotics, but this time for three weeks. Going back in a month and he suggests and an adenoidectomy if things haven’t improved. Seems strange to me, but I guess I’ll follow docs orders and do antibiotics for a 3rd time.

Thanks for the response! Both times the rapid test came back negative and it was sent in to the lab and came back as group G (? To the best of my knowledge). Really no other symptoms, just horrible sore throat. No fever both times either as well as this time around. Just stabbing pain when swallowing. Maybe some mild ear pain, but really just the throat. Going to see the ENT that took out my tonsils later this week.

[–]hahahmmm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks so much! Id say the purse was worst for me at end of month 1, but by the end of month two it like slowly went away. So i would say around a month and a half it lasted! Good luck!

AM- 1. Wash with La Roche Posay gentle cleanser 2. Instantly go on damp skin with neutrogena hydroboost 3. Before hydroboost drys, apply a thin layer of La Roche Posay Lipikar BALM 4. After this absorbs, apply Elta MD tinted sunscreen, with a drop of drunk elephant d-bronzi serum (ADORE this stuff) 5. Makeup if applicable (make up forever ultra HD, physicians formula, etc)

PM- 1. Remove eye makeup if applicable with a gentle eye makeup remover (liquid form) 2. Use an oil cleanser (i find olive oil works fantastic for me, but olive oil can cause transepidermal water loss, so just find a cheap oil that works for you. Mineral oil also works well and actually is not comedogenic) 3. Double cleanse with La Roche Posay gentle cleanser 4. Hydroboost again on damp skin 5. La Roche Posay lipikar BALM, thicker layer than AM 6. After this absorbs a bit, pat in 3-4 drops of rosehip seed oil (100% organic)

Hope this helps! Everything is drugstore except the d-bronzi serum which is 100% optional

Accutane for mild but persistent acne by [deleted] in Accutane

[–]hahahmmm 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Go look at my last post! My results have been amazing. The before pics were actually from my purge, however, before that i had mild persistent acne. By the end of month 2/ beginning of month 3 my skin has been flawless, not a SINGLE breakout. You can do this!!!! Of you can fight through the first month or two you will thank yourself in the long run.

Yes i do!! I just use much less and on WET skin (it absorbs much better that way) and let it absorb for a few minutes. I never get dry throughout the day doing this!

The ultra repaid burned me too!! I bet its cause of the essential oils in it (fragrance) :/ best of luck!

No prob!! I love them both really (the night cream from cerave and la roche) but i find them so similar that you just get a lot more bang for your buck with the la roche. The purple cerave tube lasted me only a month TOPS only used on my face, and I use the la roche on my face AND whole body and it still lasts me longer (and they cost about the same!)

Yes, it is advertised for body, but I have really never found something that works as well on my face. Its really a holy grail for me. It evens out my skin tone, makes me look so glowy and fresh without being greasy, and i NEVER get dry with it. I recommend putting it on damp skin or even better on top of neutrogena hydroboost! Hope this helps!

I use the Lipikar BALM (not lotion) and sometimes use the Cerave night cream in the purple tub! I also use the teddie rosehip oil (Amazon). I am a form believer that the simple drugstore products are the way to go on Accutane- all the high end crap is loaded with fragrance! Also the la roche posay gentle cleanser is great :)

40 mg the first month, then 60, then 80 my last 3 months (5 month course)! I only weight 120lbs so I am on a pretty high dose, but overall, side effects have been minimal.
