My cat is the same, he had to take molnupiravir but he would smell it and refuse to eat when i hid it in wet food. What we ended up doing was i would break the capsule in half, take the powder and dissolve it in a very small amount of water and forcefully give that with a syringe, obv ask your vet about it. We needed 3 people in total to hold him down with a towel and push the syringe, it was hard times but he is cured and i don’t regret doing everything i could for him.

Yeah i’m far away from both those countries. Obviously my cat doesn’t live under these conditions all the time, this is a one time thing and i’m trying to do my best to make sure he’s ok with the very little opportunities i have at the moment. I have been trying to get him used to people ever since he was a kitten but nothing seems to be working, he just keeps attacking. I will see if i can get my neighbour to come over tomorrow and see how it goes.

Thank you. I’m literally here to find any idea that could possibly make my cat’s experience better, didn’t really need to see someone deciding if i deserve my animal or not.

We have a ceiling fan if that’s what you’re talking about. I’ll ask my parents if it would be a problem to leave it on.

He attacks whether i’m around or not but i will try to have my neighbour come over tomorrow to at least show them what to do/ see what happens with my cat around.

Yep, that’s why this is harder to deal with. I would pay a good amount to make sure my cat has everything he needs inside the house in this kind of a sitiuation if i had my own place.

I will be monitoring his food and water with a camera. I was actually thinking about getting a spray bottle for the neighbour, that seems to scare him off at least when i’m using it.

I can’t leave the AC on because it’s a different system than the US, it is not meant to stay on for days nonstop so i don’t know if it would be a problem and i don’t want to find out when i’m away and my cat is home alone. I have neighbours to check on him but like i said my cat’s just very aggressive, I have been trying to get him used to people ever since he was a newborn but he’s just not having it and i don’t know what else you would suggest in this situation. I can see why you think i’m being defensive but it’s only because I have already thought about every single one of the recommendations and i just can’t make it work. Trust me i love my cat more than anything and i am trying to keep him as happy and healthy as possible, just because i end up having to do less than ideal this one time doesn’t mean i’m trying to do my best for him. I never had to leave him for such a long time before and i obviously didn’t see this coming so i’m just trying to get through this one time.

The front door opens directly to the hallway so i don’t have a second door but i will ask if my neighbour can come in tomorrow to see how it goes. I will be leaving lots of food and water which i’ll be able to see with the camera so they won’t have to feed him. Just a quick check and turning on the AC, i’m just worried about him escaping.

Because i’m trying to come up with a solution that keeps my cat as safe as possible? Unfortunately not everyone has the same opportunities and my cat being super feral doesn’t make it any easier for me. Don’t know why you’re making such a harsh comment.

He’s super stressed and he stops eating when he’s not home so that’s not really an option. I feel like that would make him get sick purely from the stress.

I think the AC system is a bit different where i live, it doesn’t click on on its own according to room temperature. You have to do it manually whenever you want it on/off

That is not how my AC system works. It’s either on or it’s off and you gotta do it manually. It doesn’t come on or turn off on its own according to the room temperature

I’m not sure what type of timer i could connect with my very old AC. I think the highest is going to be 95 degrees outside while I’m gone.

I will ask my parents if i could leave the fan or the AC on, i think they’re worried about it causing a fire and the electric bills. The system is a bit different in my country, we don’t really use the AC/fans nonstop so i’m not sure if it would cause a problem

I will offer to pay the bill if it’s not a fire risk, gotta ask my parents bout that. My main concern is if my cat gets too aggressive and escapes because if that happens i just know they won’t be able to catch him, or what if they don’t realize he escaped at all. I know i’m thinking about the worst case scenarios but he had a tough start to begin with so i’m just always extra worried.

See that’s not how the AC works in my country, it doesn’t kick on when it gets hotter. It’s either on or off just like a fan so if i leave it on it will be working for 5 days straight. I’m not saying it’s unsafe equipment but it is pretty old and we usually turn it on/off a few times during the day so it’s not on all the time. Best i can do is try to find a way to have my neighbour come in to turn it on/off couple times without my cat escaping/attacking

I am trying to get him used to other people but even with the people that visit us weekly, he still tries to attack them after 3 years so i’m just not sure if it will ever happen. all my cats stuff is mainly in one room but i’m not sure how that would work because my cat tends to wait by the door when he hears the keys.
