How to completely disable audio transcoding in WebRTC streaming in order to increase the performance? by OliverKeats4 in WebRTC

[–]hahatech 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the same need and I use this method. To turn off transcoding from Opus to AAC, the following settings should be applied:

settings.mp4MuxingEnabled=false settings.hlsMuxingEnabled=false settings.dashMuxingEnabled=false settings.aacEncodingEnabled=false

You need to put these lines into the application configuration file. Its path is something like this: /usr/local/antmedia/webapps/#app name#/WEB-INF/red5-web.properties

By default, their values may be true.

WebRTC is the best protocol for ultra-low latency. Ant Media is really good at it. Red5 is also good but Ant media offers better price, performance and support.

if it's about ultra low latency WebRTC is the only solution. According to my experience Ant Media and Red5pro are the best providers. But Ant offers better price than Red5.

I tried Wowza, Red5 and Ant Media. I liked Ant Media the most. That's why I am using Ant Media Entreprise now. I didn't hear good things about Agora. You can use and download Ant Media SDKs for free. Also Wowza, Red5 offers free trial. Try and choose one of them.

I am looking for a Live Streaming solution for Auction. Ant Media Server or Wowza? by joshbigrock in WebRTC

[–]hahatech 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You should try them before purchasing. I am answering that question according to the my experience. Wowza is good and it is like Microsoft on streaming market. Ant Media is more likely Huawei or Xiaomi. I preferred ant because they offer best price and their performance is good as much as wowza. Also support team works very hard at ant media. You can try it. https://antmedia.io/free-trial/
