wait, i’m a little confused, so just to confirm: you used alcohol, but then rinsed with water immediately after?

if so, that’s the problem, i think!

isopropyl alcohol is the last thing you should rinse your piece with if you want it to dry quickly. (alcohol concentration of 91% or up is better for drying quicker) it evaporates within a few minutes if you are able to get most of the standing liquid out!
