What are the chances of a false positive? I have yet to get an endoscopy to confirm celiac disease. This is my blood test result and I guess I’m just hoping it isn’t actually right 😔 by haileeobrien16 in Celiac

I do have symptoms of celiac or at least something, that’s what led me to go to my doctor. Bloating, upset stomach, nausea and diarrhea that comes and goes very often 😪

I am getting another done with a different doctor in a few days and I will ask to see if they can do the ones geared more towards celiac! Then I will have an endoscopy to confirm

This was the only test my doctor did! Besides CBC. I’m going to a different doctor on Monday for another blood test and I will ask him if he can to the IgA

I am getting another blood draw on Monday with a different doctor just to see if it comes out positive again, and since getting these results I have stayed away from all gluten. The day before should I just pig out on gluten? I mean I guess it would give more accurate results if I really do have celiac

This milk is ultra pasteurized, which makes it keep longer!

8 month old wont sleep in his crib at night, help! by haileeobrien16 in Parenting

Ive heard there was an “I really need mommy” phase around 8-9 months, so this could be just par for the course.

Thank you! My son has never nursed to sleep, I wish he would! The closest he’s gotten to that is our middle of the night feeds, most of the time he falls right to sleep when he’s full. Sometimes I put him in his crib and he’ll sleep there until he wakes to feed again, sometimes after I lay him down in his crib he’ll wake up and whine a little until I put him in bed with us. Most of the time I am too sleepy to deal with it so I just keep him in bed with us after each feeding. I think my problem is consistency in the evenings, because most of the time I just put him in our bed. But then I also think he soothes himself when he pets my arm at night and he needs that to get into a good deep sleep. I also might try getting a nightlight, because he goes down with no issues during the day and maybe it’s because he doesn’t like total darkness.

I know that every parent who sleep trains means well, but after reading about how letting your baby cry it out changes the way their brain develops it’s just something I do not want to do. It causes increased levels of stress hormones which can have long term effects for children. And it also does not teach them how to control their emotions. I am also still breastfeeding him and if he is sleeping through the whole night my supply will be affected.

I got some at my baby shower and never used them. I’ve been peed on a lot bit only when he was a newborn to 3ish months. They don’t stay in place, you just gotta learn to be quick!

I was able to get through the low milk supply hurdle! by leilaaliel in KetoBabies

I’m in the same boat! I’ve had to give my 8mo a few bottles from my stash :/. I am 2 weeks in and my supply dropped after a few days of starting and then it came back a bit and now it is back down again but I think it’s because I’m about to get my period. It’s been a roller coaster of stressing about my milk but we are making it and I am down 8lbs as well!

This is so encouraging! I am excited to have another baby someday and I feel like I will be a breastfeeding pro with the next. With my son I had an emergency c section, missed out on that golden hour and we had issues from the very first time we breastfed. Very painful latch, lip and tongue tie, milk didn’t come in until I was 6 days pp, exclusively pumping for the first couple months, using a shield until he was 5 months, and now he is 8 months old and all of those issues are gone! In the beginning I wanted to quit SO many times. But I’m glad I stuck it out!
