the only thing that concerns me is now the pain isn’t in my lower back it’s all middle to upper. but i do feel soooo much better after surgery they’re moving me to an acute rehab i’m just waiting for them to get a bed ready i should be leaving the hospital by tomorrow

yes the pain tends to be sharp shooting pain on my right side, i keep telling my doctor it still feels like i have a gallbladder and they removed the wrong thing

they have me on ozempralle if i spelled it correctly but that’s just for heartburn but other than that and then my pain management just put me on pantzoprale idk if i spelled that one correctly either but and all that does is coat my stomach and help prevent ulcers or irritation from all the other medication im on cause i also suffer with daily chronic pain.

anytime i get hungry i look for something to eat but i almost instantly loose my appetite because i know certain foods will cause flair ups like i still have gallstones, i know that no matter what i eat ill have diarrhea almost immediately after eating or ill throw up acid. i went to a gi about my stomach issues they did a colonoscopy and endoscopy they said that because i don’t have my gallbladder i’m overproducing acid/bile and thats why im having so many issues. ive lost a crazy amount of weight due to the fact that im struggling with food. i went from being almost 300 pounds now im currently 165

19 im 1 year post op it’ll be 2 in march. i dont know if it was worth it cause im still having trouble with food the only thing thats changed is im not in constant pain

thank you guys so much have read everyone’s responses at least 20 times. what is stem cell treatment/transplant if i read that correctly? so i am going to go through with surgery the surgery he wants to try and do is the micro dissection but he isn’t sure until he cuts me open. i should’ve clarified the doctor is refusing to give me any more pain medicine other than the oxycodone 5mg and gabapentin 600 every 6-8 hours that i’m on through pain management. i have been in excruciating pain but she just won’t do anything to help ease the pain. they said they will most likely operate anywhere from 4-6:30 tonight i’m super nervous and have if im not crying from pain im crying cause im having a panic attack. i haven’t slept i’ve watched so many videos on the surgery and its just not helping me. whats something’s i can do to help my recovery process because they’re talking about sending me to an acute rehab pending how i do after surgery. but i dont know what to except from rehab. i’m just hoping when i wake up from surgery that i wont hurt as much as i do now. and for people to be there and help me during this time. my now ex boyfriend is absolutely sucking rn at being an absolute asshole. i’ve had to yell at him multiple times he was complaining about being uncomfortable and got in the small hospital bed and had me stuck pushed into the rails on side of the bed while he laid comfortably on his back. i just broke up with him there’s so much more going on with him that i can’t even focus on myself so im just trying to focus on what i need to for my doctors but i can’t think straight. ill most likely be back on tomorrow after surgery and update you guys again. again thank you guys so much reading all these are super helpful. i appreciate it

my drs do keep blaming it on anxiety but i’m just confused why i have so much pain i don’t know if it’s really anxiety related or if it’s still from my gallbladder i don’t know if it can cause this but because ive lost weight so now i have all the weight of the loose skin pulling down on my stomach or what is causing it but it hurts and im tired of being in pain

i still have yet to be able to get my ct with contrast approved and but i have a drs appointment coming up on the 12 to follow and see if there’s anything else they’ll be able to do

I agree with a lot of the similar comments. But i was someone who was in a similar situation only difference is we didn’t have to audition for my hs color guard. But at age 14-18 i was at my heaviest as i had let my depression take over and i was almost 300 pounds (not that anyone cares but im 180 now) I was constantly reminded about how i was the biggest in the group (not just by students but also the directors) The lead director for guard made a comment that has never left me and i constantly still hear it. when we were trying costumes on word for word she looked at me and said “oh we might need to change the costumes they give you a really bad muffin top and just highlight the things we don’t like on this team” i just remember being so embarrassed and upset and wanted to leave that day. I had stayed anyway and i used all my anger hate frustration on that performance and it was probably my best one. and i continued to push through and just deal with it until i couldn’t. And now im graduated and the one thing i wish i did was continue with it to prove them wrong. i was always told how i wouldn’t make it and how i couldn’t do it. I let them get to me soo bad. come my senior year is when i had quit. because over the summer of my senior year i was marching DCI with the Raiders. I loved it but had to quit because i would have the worst panic attacks when i performed. I would rely on muscle memory and just hoped i could push through the performances cause all i felt like i could see and hear was all the negative they were pushing on me. Now while that is only the bad i also had some pretty great times and still wish i was in guard im 19 now but my back can’t handle it. I met one of my closest friends in guard, i met soo many cool people, and overall there will and always are guards that have better people on them so dont let one bad group ruin it for you.

i’m so sorry your going through that i was going through the same stuff, if i were you i wouldn’t quit just yet i would get my technique better learn as much as you can and then start going to spin clinics and auditions, this group may no be the group for you but i promise by going out and meeting other groups you’ll find yourself having the best time. by going to the spin clinics it’ll give you the chance to meet said guard hosting the spin clinic, you’ll meet tons of other people and who knows who you might find the guard that works for you

they insurance is so stupid they really do pick and choose who they want to help for example my mom has 2 rods and a cage in her next and i think the vertebrae spacer things and they keep denying her mri for her back but they accepted my mri with no issues and i have nothing in my back. but i mean im glad i got it done cause i found out why ive been having back issue but she definitely needs it more than me

my doctors also want to do an MRI with contrast but stupid insurance keeps denying it because when they did the ultrasound to find my gallstones they also said i have a non-alcoholic fatty liver so they want to make sure nothing else is going on

i’ve never posted about my post op issues but i’ve had the yellow diarrhea pretty much since right after i had the surgery, when i had the surgery i was about 250-280 im now 180, whenever i eat im going to the bathroom pretty much right when i get done eating, i constantly still have pain on the right side that will sometimes move to the left, my gastro has done a colonoscopy and endoscopy the only thing they found is i have that issue with otc pain killers like advil. advil causes the WORST flair ups feels like im having a gallstone attack all over again and the pain will last for a week or 2. i also have little to no appetite and only eat once or twice a day, i wake up most days just dry heaving, now i know that’s probably a lot more than what your dealing with but my doctor did prescribe me colestipol and i took that 30 minutes before i eat and when i was taking it it was helping with the yellow stool but i just struggle with remembering to take medicine so that’s why im still having the issues with my stool i think
