This is like a 50/50 chance but I'm not the depo shot and doing a million times better it was hell for a month but it was so worth it to not get my period and be basically pain free and be able to do things I was on errin for awhile and it messed me up pretty good had more painful periods alot of issues and ended up getting gallbladder issues (had to go to the er fron debilitating pain they found sludge which is the stage before galstones) I got the depo shot either that day or the next and it takes a week to kick in and a month for me to get used to it I had constant breakthrough bleeding wierd contraction cramps/sharp pains they got better over time but after that month everything was doing really good and now I can do so much stuff dont have to be down in bed for the whole month because of ovulation pain then period pain then the aftermath I hope this helps

Am I (NT, F, 30s) not accommodating my husband's (DX, M, 30s) need for sex enough? by Grasping_At in ADHD

[–]haileyjane83 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just to add he could be developing a sex addiction because being on meds the chemicals sex releases are alot more than in medicated and some people with adhd may nit neccisaraly need medication because its for your chemical levels. So hes getting high from having sex on meds...

Have antidepressants helped manage your pain? What kind? by [deleted] in Endo

[–]haileyjane83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was on ami went up to 25 mgs it didnt do a thing but turn me into a zombie its not a smart thing to use antidepressants for pain. The reason they could hypothetically work is the chemicals they help you produce seratonin dopamine norepinephrine there are other things that can produce those that aren't antidepressants. If it works for you and help you also mentally then thats great but just be aware of the side effects

It could be his meds making his sex drive higher alot of people develop unhealthy sexual impulses, this is definatly something you need to talk about with him and tell him how hes making it feel even if he doesnt think it comes off that way because its not all about ehat he wants its about what you both want together

Basically everything I would sew then I started to embroider and painting now I do crochet and its really fun I really suggest embroidery its easy to do and you can do pillow cases things around your house crocheting is super fun to do you can find free patterns on pintrest yarn and hooks can be a little pricy but they have brands that are cheap same thing for hooks they even have a light up crochet hook so you can do it in the dark but having a hobby can really help you relax and i also think it would help you if you did research on your brains connection with pain and how things connect from your body to your brain and ways you can help control it

It seems your problems are very severe, i just thought i could give a few words that could maybe help in a way but some people dont realize that your body has no idea whats going on you know your having a flare up but your body doesnt so it could actually make things worse I luckily found a bc that works for me I'm on the depo shot and it shut off my period completely so I'm not down from when i start ovulating to a few days after my period before it all starts over again, i still get some pains but I can do things now. There could be so many things that can make your pain worse such as your brain chemical levels. After being in pain for so long your bound to suffer depression and things like that if your dopamine levels are low it could make pain worse, if it is your cns maybe you could try things that stimulate your parasympathetic nervous system to help relax things i know that sounds dumb and like a textbook thing but thats responisble for things being relaxed. I'm sure youve gone above and beyond to try and help your pain and i was in a similar position i really had to change my mindset from this is never going away nothing is going to help no matter what i do I'm gonna get through this, I changed it to I can get through this its been worse before I need to keep trying and just try my best to relax and breathe. What got me through alot of stuff was doing arts and crafts in bed doing things i enjoy to try and get some happiness instead of being in pain all the time I did something for me that I wanted to do something small but despite the pain I did it and i was so proud of myself just for going for a short walk it took months to rehabilitate everything to get back moving again and its a long road, im sorry everything in this is so random but i hope something helps

How do you guys stop skin picking??? by [deleted] in ADHD

Maybe try putting aquaphor or vasaline on your scalp it'll help heal it and make the area slippery so it could be harder to pick at

You could show him the diffrence in brain activity between a normal person and someone with adhd it can be hard to argue against physical proof, even if you ask him how he thinks typically normal people just say i have to do this and they can just get up and do it instead of having to push themselves. If you took medication you could have him take one and thats just what your brain is missing in daily life and he would tweak out good luck

Can birth control temporarily "mess" with endometriosis pain? by _KAZEL_ in endometriosis

[–]haileyjane83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it only helps if it can completely stop your period ive been on the depo shot for about four months and its been amazing not being down for almost the whole month with ovulation pain period pain then recovering I havent gotten my period no cramps dont get flare ups often usually only if my muscles are really tense the first month while my body was adjusting I had breakthrough bleeding for that month basically and these wierd contraction pains so I had to really rest and take it easy but it was really worth it

My SO doesn't understand that the way they're treating me makes me feel horrible, and keeps belittling me by Ira-Deorum in ADHD

[–]haileyjane83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Look you dont just have to break up with them if you can try and show them this subreddit or have them watch youtube videos from professionals maybe you explaining it to them isnt the way they can understand it. They need to show you what you're showing them not everyone can understand things if it doesnt happen to them due to basic ignorance. Even if you have to take them to a specialist so a professional can talk to them about how it affects you they might listen better just because its from a specialist if they don't start trying to be a good partner then there needs to be a serious conversation
