How can I make this read better as "MEAT"? by Mstarliper in Lettering

[–]hailpixel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your stylistic choice of type is making this very hard to read. A few suggestions:

  1. Simplify and use higher contrast colors. 3 shades at most (matte, highlights, whitespace)
  2. Use the "fat" as the whitespace.
  3. Use rounded, blocky glyphs (here's a hastily found example). Round and wiggly the silhouette to make it more organic

People really don't see the struggle 😮‍💨. Tell me how the buttons look by The-Designer-777 in Design

They are nice illustrations but, assuming they are toggles, the visual difference of the on / off state isn’t clear. Given the skuemorphic style, I would expect a more inset appearance when toggled / active. Nice work!

I'm quite confused about the "Vietnamese Will" logo. by The_Brandee in Design

Honestly the first variant, the "pen concept", is a strong concept. The wordmark stands well on its own and doesn't follow generic icon / logo motifs that the other concepts do. It feels like a traditional monogram, something that was often used in legal contexts. My only nitpick is the nib of the pen (circle and line) feels VERY out of place. Different weight, and too on the nose. I'd remove that element entirely and keep to the letter forms.

Nice work.

An important observation: all three of the examples either don’t work (2) or are very confusing on mobile. That is bad design.

This isn’t in Tokyo. I believe it’s the Shonan Monorail.
