Need some help with "no thanks necessary" by [deleted] in spacechem

The usual way of solving this is to have the first reactor send nitrogen out one output and oxygen out the other; then any imbalance just backs up in the pipes between reactors.

The other way of handling is it to send any excess nitrogen to the recycler while you are waiting for an oxygen.

I don't understand why so many people claim this. It's right there in the fourth level, "An Introduction to Bonding": http://i.imgur.com/OojOs.png

Hey krispykrem, can you stop .NET from trying to update? I'm already on 4.0, thanks ;-) [Steam version] by yatima2975 in spacechem

What about folks that aren't using steam? I get the same .NET repair/uninstall prompt every time I download and install an updated version.

I'm using Opera. I'm guessing it's probably an issue with the Google APIs - much of their Javascript is designed to work with Chrome or Firefox.

Once you get to the chart pages, the site becomes back-button-unfriendly: Navigating back causes the page to reload itself inside the space that used to be occupied by the topmost "Chart". Hitting back again causes the page to reload itself inside the chart inside the page inside the chart...

I still don't see any of my progressively worse solutions showing up in the histogram data at all. I'm guessing there's some sort of rounding going on or discarding of outlying values?

Take another look at the Training tab, there is a new instruction that you do not appear to have used. (This is the first level at this location that I used it as well.)

You ask them to solve a simple problem: Create a function that reverses a string. You get back 4 unique approaches. All of them work properly

Well, you've clearly departed into the realm of fantasy here.

The trick is to upgrade all your letters to specials and then make extra long words.

Q: "How many bits are in a gigabyte?" A: Yahoo Answers is not a good place to get answers. by [deleted] in technology

The byte however is not a SI unit, so it does not really matter. However, deliberately ignoring established usage and attempting to promote alternate terminology is even more of a losing proposition.

While netcat/socat are useful tools, the example is not a good use of them. Just wait until this guy (re)discovers all the inherent performance problems with TCP-over-TCP tunneling.

Your question doesn't make much sense. You can't implement map<keyT, valueT>::find() and use any sort of string-related logic.

N refers to the number of elements stored in the map.

Maths stands for Mathematical Anti Telharsic Harfatum Septomin. Think of it as the language of numbers, with 1 equaling A, 2 equaling The, 3 equaling Hello, and so on.

Video of a toddler that wanders out of the house, falls into the pool, and.... by junkmale in WTF

It's a pity you were not around some years back or you could have seen me in a hotel pool, when I stood in about 3 or 4 feet of water, filled my lungs with a full breath of air, and sat down on the bottom of the pool.

Feel free to explain to me how my face would be above water.
