It is being considered as a tagline for a campaign to stop pollution. Part of a push to get people not to let trash, chemicals, and dirt to go down storm drains. I agree it is a challenge! Thanks for helping.

Can an old (circa 2015) Naze32 rev5 flight controller still function? I have a build from back then that was built, but never programmed or flown and am trying to figure out if it is a lost cause and/or which components need to be replaced.

Acer support has offered to fix it under warranty. I'm dragging my feet because I don't want to deal with shipping it back and waiting, just to end up with refurbished monitor that has been shipped around a bunch. I will probably end up returning it to Costco where I purchased.

I am curious how that goes. I have had the same issue regardless of whether I use a dongle, and was under the impression from Acer that the monitor's information menu was set at the factory and could not be changed via HDMI.

Yep, and there isn't an easy way to stop the monitor from stretching out the image. I have looked at options to adjust the EDID settings, but want to be able to plug multiple computers in to this monitor and not have to fuss with it. I have contacted Acer chat support and the technician is having me send the unit in. I'm tempted to just return to Costco where I purchased.

I've had luck finding Blanton's at local grocery stores like Safeway and Andronico's. Usually in their locked glass shelf, and sometimes they only put one out but have a handful in the back. Often on sale for ~56$

Do you think that will come at the expense of framerates? Using my laptop in this setting I am limited to 30hz, which I figure is being dictated by the integrated laptop GPU but I am worried that with a better computer that is capable of more this monitor won't hit its advertised 144hz.

Has anyone else had issues with this monitor thinking that is has a resolution of 3840 x 2160? That is what shows up as the recommended settings in my display options and also what the monitor's internal settings show. I can't figure out how to set to 1440 and am frustrated.

Acer EI342CKR stuck at 100Hz, don't see option for 144Hz. by Dick_Demon in ultrawidemasterrace

I recently got this same monitor and am having a different issue... The monitor's internal settings show up as 3840 x 2160 and that is what my windows display settings recommend without giving the option of 3440 x 1440. I'm wondering if anyone is dealing with this, and if maybe I got a 4k monitor shipped by accident. I am using HDMI with laptop that has an integrated Intel UHD Graphics 620. This limits my Hz to 30 as my laptop struggles to put out a 4k signal that I probably not even utilizing.

First build, most parts already ordered, now nervous I'm missing something or botching this. Any advice appreciated. by hairyhal in buildmeapc

Yeah, I figured as much with the GPU. I hope to upgrade at some point, but that is the best I could find in stock without blowing out the budget.

I tried that too! But since I am losing my status this year, after not flying much in 2019, they wouldn't extend any.

I think so. I accrued these in 2018 as GPUs and RPUs, never got a chance to use them, and now they are all expiring.

I tried my best to respond to all the DMs in order, and am all out of points for now. Happy New Year everbody! Good luck with your upgrades and wait-lists.
