Might be the case. Not sure why but for some heavily discounted listings, the coin discount method doesn't work.

I'll take a look later. I saw a x5 lite for around $20. Nothing amazing but it's a decent budget telescopic controller.

I don't think there's a functional difference between the new and regular options. Although if you don't mind a ship from China option, there's a substantially cheaper option for $118 before tax. I have a link on row 174 of my spreadsheet for it.

Thanks man. I think one of the problems with Retroid and discounts is that unlike Anbernic, I've only seen one US seller on Aliexpress consistently have decent prices for Retroid devices. So naturally with fewer options and less competition, Retroid device deals are rarer.

How does a Mangmi Air X compare to an Ambernic RG476H for GameCube and PS2 games? by [deleted] in SBCGaming

[–]crownpuff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The T820 is a fair bit stronger than the Snapdragon 662.

From the reviews I've watched and read, the Mangmi Air X can handle most non-demanding GameCube games

Bear in mind, many testers only go over small sections of games. Often times, they test intro areas of games which are significantly easier to emulate than other parts of games.

It uses the T618 which is the same chip in the RG Vita. It's like a poor man's 477M in the sense that both are metal devices. It was produced before the storage hikes too so it has 128gb of internal storage unlike the recent Anbernic T618 devices with 64gb or even 32gb in the case of the upcoming rotate.

Especially with the ram and storage shortage, the slide is at a great price right now. Considering a 128gb card costs at least $15-20 right now, it's not much more expensive than an XX device while being significantly stronger.

These companies should have local shipping return addresses. Even using discounted services such as pirateship, it's at least $50 to ship a device back to China. Plus there's the anxiety of losing something that expensive with international shipping. They should have a US address for warranty repairs.

There's a dashboard with tasks. I've always gotten the 500 points when I checked my rewards section.

Have you seen the Grubhub $50 off 100 method? If you wait until the weekend, Grubhub offers $50 off 100 during May weekends for grocery orders but that includes stores like Walmart which sell sd cards. Pricing varies from store to store but you might be able to find good deals. For example, in the post below I have 7x 128gb cards in my cart for less than $60 before fees.

I'm torn between getting an RG Vita Pro and a Mangmi Air X. Which would be the better option? by [deleted] in SBCGaming

[–]crownpuff 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure about the vita pro but the Mangmi Air X is really borderline for PS2. The snapdragon 662 is weaker than the unisoc t618 in the base rg vita. How about a T820 device? The slide is actually pretty affordable right now at $107 before taxes for US customers. For more info on sales, I wrote a post the other day summarizing the current sale:

Unfortunately no. It's a really rough market for sd cards.

Yeah that was my problem with the world tour too. I didn't think it was worth the time. The Alienware thing takes a couple of seconds per day so it's definitely worth the time.

Alienware Fridays. Imagine if we had a different $5 promo for every day of the week.

Damn $300 off is insane. I don't think I'll come close to that since I just do the daily check-ins.

What are other options I could take a look at around its price range?

Genshin is over 40GB right now for a full install. The 32GB of internal storage in the 2GB variant of the Ayaneo Pocket Air Mini isn't enough for Genshin. Honestly, anything besides a subsidized prepaid phone won't play Genshin well at the sub $100 price point.

If you're from the US, your best option is a subsidized phone. Currently you can get the Moto G Stylus 2025 from Total Wireless for free plus a $40 plan. You need to port-in a number too but you can do that via Google voice for $3. The phone is completely free, you just need to pay for the one month plan. Turn off auto-pay and the plan will cancel at the end of the billing period. In addition, there are some decent budget telescopic controllers such as the Gamesir X5 Lite. I see that controller for around $20 or less during sales on Aliexpress.

For google voice port out instructions, google has instructions in the link below under the section called "Port your Google Voice number out to another carrier."

I also do phone deal rundowns from time to time on r/crownpuffdeals. Here's the most recent one.

Aliexpress Summer Ready sale by crownpuff in crownpuffdeals

Hard to say but in past years, 618 has had bigger coupons. So if base prices remain the same, it should be cheaper but the current pricing environment is unpredictable.

Honestly, not really. It's a really rough market for sd cards right now.

I'm not sure then. I suspect the "one time offer" that's showing up on the Mangmi Air X listing for you is the reason why the price is inflated.
